New York Police Detective Elisa Maza stops her car in front of the Eyrie Building, the tallest tower in the city. As she yells at the pedestrians to get back, she notices that one of the fallen bits of debris bears a claw mark. As Elisa wonders what's strong enough to create clawmarks on solid stone, the show jumps back in time one thousand years . . .
Goliath and his clan go after the Vikings who attacked Castle Wyvern earlier that day. In the final battle with the Vikings, Goliath saves Princess Katherine and discovers who betrayed his clan. However, just when everything seems fine, The Magus casts a spell that will forever change the fate of Goliath's clan.
Fully aware of the new dangers of the strange new world, Goliath and his clan try to continue getting used to the new technologies and customs . . . from television to the concept of naming.
Meanwhile, Elisa Maza questions David Xanatos' right hand Owen Burnett about the explosions earlier that night. Having been told it was an overheated generator, Elisa remains unconvinced and strays away to find herself face to face with the mighty Goliath . . . where it's clear that she's about to find more questions than answers.
Elisa and Goliath struggle to fight the Commandos off, but things get complicated for Elisa when the sun rises, and she's left on her own. In the meanwhile, the Trio explores Manhattan. At dusk, when Goliath heads off to the Castle, Xanatos introduces him to an old acquaintance of his. Finally, the Clan is sent off on a mission that might turn out more dangerous than accounted for.
While the Trio attacks the Cyberbiotics Tower, Hudson and Bronx hit the underground laboratory, and Goliath and his Angel attack the flying Fortress. All of them succeed in retrieving the stolen diskettes. During their mission, Goliath watched his Angel's erratic behavior and observed that she is no longer how he remembered her. After Goliath flees to meet with Elisa, much to his Angel's displeasure, Xanatos decided that the Gargoyles may be too difficult to control, and decides to dispose of them...
Lexington, Broadway, and Brooklyn have become fans of the hit tv show, The Pack, which is about a team of heroes fighting evil ninjas. In the spirit of trying to find kindred spirits in their new home, Lexington decides to stay after a special live show of The Pack -- so he can meet them in person. Little does Lexington know that The Pack enjoys a good hunt as well as "crimefighting."
Meanwhile, Elisa begins to question just how safe Castle Wyvern (atop the Eyrie Building) is after the fall of Xanatos...
While on a joyride, Brooklyn is attacks by a band of mortars. He thwarts them with the help of a shadowy gargoyle, who turns out to be... Demona. She manages to gain his trust long enough to show him the ugly side of humankind. She then convinces him to steal the Grimorum Arcanorum so that she can use a spell on Goliath in order to make him see the 'truth'. However, Demona's plan is not quite as she describes it...
Broadway's new found interest in Western movies leads him to play with Elisa’s gun. Unaware of its dangers, he accidentally shoots Elisa, nearly killing her. After leaving Elisa at the entrance of a Hospital, Broadway embarks in a rampage against gun smugglers.
Still in prison, Xanatos has come to the conclusion that it would be best to just destroy the gargoyles during the day, finding no other use for them. As he tells this to Owen at the jail, a security guard over hears their conversation. Only known as Macbeth, he offers (for some monetary gain) to exterminate these "pests."
As Macbeth's true intentions become clear, Elisa's fears over the past few weeks become dangerously close to reality . . . .
As a free man, Xanatos tries to make amends by donating the Eye of Odin to the Museum of Modern Art. However, in that very same night, a Gargoyle-like creature steals it. Right when the creature is about to flee, Matt Bluestone, Elisa's new partner, shots it and both hear a metallic noise and see how the bullet bounces off. An enraged Goliath goes after Xanatos and accuses him of trying to frame his Clan. Xanatos offers him protection in a biological testing laboratory. No sooner had Goliath departed from the Castle than the Clan is attacked by the Steel Clan, calling attention from the crowd of the streets of New York...
Demona exacts vengeance on Elisa, shooting her with a poisonous dart. She tells Elisa to tell Goliath and the others that only she has the antidote. Unknown to Demona, Elisa's badge saved her from any penetration.
Knowing that if they don't go, Demona would conclude that Elisa was fine. So to throw off any suspicion, Goliath and Hudson go to face Demona.
As they encounter Demona, Hudson reminisces on how an old battle against the Archmage back in 975 (where they had to save the life of a poisoned Prince Malcolm) is similar to the one they face now . . . .
Elisa is determined to catch Xanatos. She chases him in a helicopter with Derek, her brother, who dismisses her dismay with Xanatos. Meanwhile, at he Diamond Exchange, Jackal and Hyena are about to steal Coyote Diamond. However, Xanatos beats them to it... and buys it. They still steal it from Xanatos and head off to the rooftop. There, their escape plan is momentarily thwarted by Derek, who shows up in the chopper to bring them in. Jackal shoots him with a bazooka, but, thanks to Xanatos, he only blasted the rear rotor. Xanatos is impressed by Derek’s skills in landing a defective chopper and offers him a job. This doesn’t please Elisa, especially when Derek considers accepting it...
A gargoyle can no longer stop protecting the castle than he can stop breathing the air. These words from Hudson trouble Goliath, as they no longer have a castle to protect. Meanwhile, knowing that Goliath overcame both Demona's sorcery and Xanatos' modern science separately, the two devise a way to use both energies to defeat him. Using remains of shattered gargoyles from the Wyvern Massacre, Demona and Xanatos reanimate the dead body of one of Goliath's rookery brothers. In the end, confronting the reawakened cold stones of a gargoyle may just help Goliath and his clan redefine what a castle is in the 20th Century... as well as to why they must protect it.
Stuck in jail, The Pack have been getting thoroughly bored of prison life. However, all of this is about to change when a mysterious man only known as Coyote breaks inside the prison and helps Wolf, Jackal, Hyena, and Dingo bail out -- Fox nobly decides to be a good citizen and sticks out her sentence.
Now that they've broken out of prison, Goliath and his clan are determined to throw them back into the slammer. But will Lexington, the one who feels most betrayed from The Pack, be able to keep a cool head . . . or will his own personal vengeance risk losing those he truly cares for?
As night falls, a local museum closes for the night. Soon after Demona breaks in, intending to take the Titania's Mirror. The security guard (who happens to be a disguised Elisa Maza) attempts to take on Demona. Moments later Goliath enters the room, ready to keep Demona from the Mirror at any cost. Demona is able to flee from Goliath however, apparently defeated for the night.
However, it's revealed that Demona herself was merely a diversion for Goliath & Elisa, as two human burglars take the Mirror with no one the wiser.
While the Mirror is dropped off at Demona's hideaway, Elisa learns from the Goliath and his clan the significance of Titania's Mirror . . . and the just how powerful ancient talismans can be . . . .
As night begins to set, Goliath and Xanatos remain in a heated battle, but it isn't long for Xanatos to tell Goliath that he had no intention of fighting. Xanatos simply wanted to ask if Goliath would be willing to be the Best Man for his wedding to Fox the following night.
When Goliath asks if Xanatos is joking or not, Xanatos simply replies, "Demona will be there, and she promises to be on her best behavior."
When Goliath tells the clan and Elisa, they all tell him he shouldn't go and that Demona & Xanatos are planning a trap. As the clan turns to stone for the day, Goliath continues to contemplate on whether he should go to Xanatos' wedding or not, and dreams about the wedding of Prince Malcolm & Princess Elena -- the first wedding he and Demona went to back in 975 AD . . . .
Lexington and Goliath have been trying to find the lost souls inside Coldstone. Though the virus wiped the entire computer program, the virus failed to destroy the magically transferred souls of Goliath's rookery brothers and sister.
Meanwhile, it appears that Macbeth and Demona escaped the Weird Sisters hold, because for some reason, Macbeth and Demona are working together... posing as an rookie officer and an arrested man at the police station.
However, the disguise doesn't fool Elisa (who's desperately been needing some shut eye) for long. As she discovers them in the Clock tower, Demona and Macbeth ambush her.
It isn't until Elisa comes around does she discover that Coldstone was taken by Macbeth and Demona. With even more questions than before, Goliath and the clan are forced to head to Macbeth's castle, where the two immortals are waiting, and possibly with the vengeful soul of Coldstone as well...
Cyberbiotics has finally rebuilt a replacement to their destroyed Air Fortress I from a year ago. Knowing that human error was the result of the old airship, Halcyon Reynard (Head of Cyberbiotics) decides to replace all crew personnel with automatons. It's also clear that if Air Fortress II goes down, the company will be ruined.
Goliath, guilty of his part in the destruction of Air Fortress I, heads out to keep a watch on the airship, to ensure its survival.
Little does anyone know that there's a plot to take out Cyberbiotics once and for all, and the only way to save it is to trust those that were once considered guilty . . . and to trust those that aren't innocent at all . . . .
It just an ordinary night patrol for the gargoyles, until Macbeth shows up -- free from the Weird Sisters grasp apparently -- and he takes full charge at the clan. As they fight, Macbeth throws some mystical powder on Hudson, who's unable to get it off. The fight continues . . . with each blow becoming more lethal. When Macbeth corners Lexington & Brooklyn, Goliath takes out Macbeth's hovercraft -- not knowing that the result would be Macbeth plummeting down several stories into a fiery explosion. It's clear that no one could have survived that fall... not even Macbeth. While Goliath is regretful for killing Macbeth, he is even more worried when Hudson does not wake up after their day's rest... apparently caused by that mystical powder. Now only the dead Macbeth can save the frozen Hudson now... or is he?
Elisa's partner, Matt Bluestone, finally meets Goliath and enlists his help in tracking down a member of the mysterious secret society, the Illuminati.
A mysterious man in armor arrives on the lakeside of Belvedere Castle in Central Park. As he walks into the city, he is attacked by the local thugs. It's clear that he's a better fighter than the three of them are, and easily beats them. However, Police Officer Morgan decides to take him in . . . telling him he can't be using a sword like that in the city.
It isn't until later when Elisa hears of this man from Morgan, and that he's looking for a gargoyle. Not just any gargoyle . . . he's looking for Goliath, and Elisa's shocked to hear that he knows the clan leader's name.
Arranging a meeting near Belvedere Castle, Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx meet the old man. The moment the man spots Goliath, he is overwhelmed with joy. As it turns out, he's the young boy Tom from the night of the Wyvern Massacre . . . and he's come to find Goliath for help.
For as it turns out, the Archmage is somehow alive and the eggs from Wyvern are in danger. Jumping on a skiff, Tom tells him his long and strange tale from the year 996 onward to Goliath & Elisa . . . .
Goliath, Elisa, Bronx, and Tom have just arrived on the shores of Avalon . . . but before they even get off the beach, the Archmage attacks (as the beach), thoroughly angry that the Avalon Clan has wasted time looking for help instead of simply leaving the island. More powerful than Goliath has ever seen him, the Archmage gives the final ultimatum that they'll all die by sunset.
As Goliath and the rest head back to Oberon's Palace, the Archmage talks to his soldiers on what the next phase of his hostile take over shall be. While both good and evil consider their options, the audience learns just how the Archmage survived that fall from his cavern back in 975 AD . . . and what he plans on doing now . . . .
With dawn approaching fast, Goliath and the others decide to preempt the Archmage's annihilation of the Avalon Clan.
While Goliath, Angela, and Gabriel hunt down the Archmage, Elisa and the Magus head to the Hollow Hill, with hopes of finding help in case Goliath's strategy falls short. On the way, Elisa hears from the Magus himself what the past thousand years on the mystical island have been like.
The Archmage's vengeance is almost complete . . . and no one is safe . . . .
Realizing that they have not returned home to Manhattan, Goliath is shocked to see that they have landed in Wyvern, Scotland -- the site where Castle Wyvern once stood. Nearly mesmerized, Goliath urges Angela, Bronx, and Elisa that they must see their ancestral roots.
However, it's soon very clear that old wounds bleed just as bright as new ones, as Goliath is still very haunted by the massacre of his clan and the betrayal of the Captain of the Guard that took place over 1000 years ago . . . .
The Manhattan Clan back in New York are getting worried about the sudden disappearance of Goliath, Bronx and Elisa. Because of the disappearance, Hudson believes it is time for Brooklyn, the recently chosen second-in-command, to take place as leader . . . but Brooklyn is unwilling to do so. He believes he's still unprepared for the heavy burden of leadership.
Meanwhile underneath New York City in the Labyrinth, Fang prepares to oust Talon as leader, a position Talon nominally denies.
The world travelers have arrived on a mystical island no one can find once again . . . except that it's not Avalon.
As it turns out, there's more than one invisible island in the world -- one with plenty of islanders that don't wish to be found by the outside world. In short, the world travelers have landed on New Olympus, and island metropolis inhabited by the descendants of the mythical creatures.
The inhabitants fully welcome the world travelers . . . with the exception of Elisa. In an ironic turn of events, it is now a human who is out-casted . . . and now the New Olympians are at an uproar on what to do next: Do they allow the human to leave and potentially reveal their secret location . . . or do they lock her up forever, ensuring their island's survival?
Landing in Ishimora, Japan, the World Travelers stumble upon Japan's most well-kept secret: A harmonic human & gargoyle community.
Living in the ways of Bushido, the way of the warrior, gargoyles and humans have been able to thrive in this small community for centuries, caring and honoring one another.
While Goliath, Angela, Bronx, and Elisa are fully welcomed by Kai and his clan, one of the villagers has a plan to profit from the noble ways of the Gargoyles . . . and intentions will have little to do with honor.
Once again landing on Avalon, Goliath, Angela, Bronx, and Elisa find out that Lord Oberon and Lady Titania, King and Queen of the Third Race, have returned after deserting the island for 1000 years.
Lord Oberon intends to have the Gathering soon, and he is furious to discover that mortals (Princess Katherine, Tom, and the Eggs) have taken shelter on the magical island and he demands they leave or be vanquished.
Grief and despair begin to creep on the World Travelers since they still haven't returned to New York City. Suddenly, a gigantic storm hits that throws Goliath and the rest overboard. As the skiff mysteriously sinks to the bottom of the sea, Goliath suddenly comes to the realization that they've finally arrived home . . . but not home.
Even though they finally arrived on Manhattan Island, they discover that 40 years have passed since Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx left . . . and since then, Brooklyn and the Manhattan Clan have been fighting a truly evil Xanatos . . . who now appears to have finally succeeded his ultimate goal of immortality and power.
It appears that only the Phoenix Gate, the last talisman from Avalon Goliath has, can save them now . . . but can it?

Now in the hands of a poucher, Goliath and the rest of the Gargoyles, along with the runaways, must save Brooklyn.
Fox and Xanatos have been having an increased amount of problems caused by the way most people distrust the gargoyles, so Fox decides to convince Broadway to come with her to Hollywood, so that he may participate in an interview that could improve gargoyle-human relations. Some of the gargoyles are reluctant to let Broadway go off on his own, though he decides that he wishes to be a star; though it’s not too long after reaching Hollywood when he finds himself rescuing two people from a plane that had broken down in mid-flight. The press immediately loves him for his endeavors and the upcoming interview becomes the talk of the town, and the world, though little does he realize that Jackal and Hyena have heard news of his arrival as well, so they decide to exploit their opportune moment in order to ruin the gargoyles’ reputation forever.

As she is discovered, Goliath and the clan come to her aid.
As the Quarrymen begin to attack the gargoyles, Goliath begins to doubt if humanity will ever come to accept their kind . . . and just as his begins doubting, he is subsequently knocked out.
Then, all too suddenly, Goliath wakes up to find that he is now a human. For unknown reasons he is an ordinary man with children & married to Elisa Maza, not to mention he works for a David Xanatos who knows of no Goliath or his clan.
As Goliath tries to find and reconnect with his clan, he soon discovers how much New York City needs him as the gargoyle he once was . . . .
There have been several reports recently that claimed there may be other gargoyles in the city, which isn’t something that Goliath can ignore because if it is true, he is certain the Quarrymen will make a move on them. He heads out with Brooklyn, Lexington and Broadway in order to head to the building where they were rumored to have been seen, though a sudden twist of fate, and Illuminati involvement, soon jeopardizes the lives of the gargoyles themselves.
While attempting to save a little girl trapped in a construction site, they realise it was a trap, set by the Quarrymen. They believe they are going to die, as they have become trapped in an electric cage, with sunrise minutes away, and a dynomite about to explode. Soon they turn to stone, and the explosion goes off. The only survivors are Angela and Bronx, as they were on another rescue attempt. Everyone believes the Gargoyles are gone, but Xanatos saved them. Now they are stuck in a crossroad. Will they stay out of the public eye and let everyone believe they are dead, or keep fighting crime?
