What did you think of the episode? I thought it was pretty suspenseful, with Melinda discovering that Paul Eastman (the Masked Man), not Tom Gordon was her father. It was also interesting to see how dark a character Tom was before he died. I wonder how Gabriel is going to fit in the storyline now that he no longer is related Melinda.
One thing that I'm somewhat confused about is the ending. When Melinda and her friends and family where going to watch the tall ships arrive in town, Payne noticed 5 shadows instead of the six for the people in their group. I know that it is going to signify that someone is already dead or is going to die next season, but I don't know/think it's going to be Payne (like a lot of people on the "other" site are saying). I know that if one of the six there were going to die, Payne (Jay Mohr) would be the logical choice since he's going to be starring in a new show on CBS next season, but like I said in the previous sentence, I don't think it's him.
As much as I hate saying this, if someone is dead/going to die, I think it's going to be Jim. If you notice in this episode, he is more protective than usual when it comes to Melinda and in the last scene, he wasn't really interacting with Delia, Ned, Melinda, or her mother. You'd also think when the group was getting ready to cross the street he would want to walk/stand by Melinda, but Payne and Melinda's mother were on either side of her. And back to the 5 shadows for 6 people, it looks like Jim is the only one who doesn't have a shadow. If it was Payne (like what other people are saying), wouldn't there be a large space between Melinda and Delia's shadows if someone was already dead?
So, what are your thoughts? And feel free to disagree with me if you want, just elaborate on what you disagree with. |
