  Episode Summary
After attending a Security Conference in London with the Major, Aramaki goes to a bank to visit an old friend who had emigrated to England to manage a wine fund. While he visits with his friend, he allows the Major a bit of free time to walk the streets of London. Before they catch up on old times, Aramaki's friend relates to him her suspicions of possible illegal activity within the bank. As she voices her concerns, two mafia hit men prepare to break into the bank.

  Episode Notes
Japanese Title: 「未完æˆãƒ©ãƒ–ロマンスã®çœŸç›¸ã€ - 「Mikansei Love Romance no ShinsÅã€
The DVD translates the title as 「The Truth Behind the Unfinished Romanceã€

The term Angels' Share refers to droplets of wine, or any alcohol, that evaporate during the fermentation process.

Production I.G made this episode as accurate as possible. Not only did they put the famous London buildings (Pariliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abby) in their proper places, they also used a realistic map of the London metropolis as well as putting "BBC" on the media van.

Aramaki's Latin quote, "En Vino Veritas", is only said by the English voice actor. The Japanese seiyū says, "The truth is in the wine."

  Cultural References
Motoko's second visit to England: "ROBOT RONDO"
At the beginning of the episode, Aramaki asks Motoko what she thinks of the conference as this was her second visit to the SAS. Motoko's "first visit" comes from a line at the end of chapter 6, "ROBOT RONDO", from the 1991 manga Ghost in the Shell by Shirō Masamune. Though the trip is never shown, in the chapter she is given orders by Aramaki to go to England to train under the SAS.

  Episode References
"ANGELS' SHARE": "Ag2O"
Seymour presenting Aramaki with a bottle of wine from her own collection echoes the end of "Ag20" where Zaitzev's wife gives Batou a bottle of Myedovuha.
