| Parents' Week = Filler, But Good Filler At That

!!!!!! This review contains spoilers !!!!!!
I wasn't a fan of the whole Lorelai/Christopher from the start way back in season one, but the last few episodes, as well as this one, may have changed my opinion completely. This episode was a shining example of how good Christopher and Lorelai are together. They gel in a way that Luke and Lorelai never really did -- maybe it's due to the lifetime of history that Chris and Lorelai have shared, or maybe it's their lifetime connection via Rory. But whatever it is, it's working.
This episode was also a great example of the father that Christopher is trying to be. He showed sincere regret that he wasn't around for Rory's childhood, school projects, homework help, sports practice, etc. Christopher went over the top to impress Rory's friends only to find that the only thing that Rory wanted to do was spend time with her parents.
The subtle social commentary also helped make the episode great, especially the parent who told Lorelai that her child had written an article about why is should be legal to burn the American flag. Hehe.
But all in all, Parents' Week = filler episode, but good filler at that.
