Lorelai has Rory over for dinner to tell her that she and her father got married while they were in Paris. While Christopher is in the room, Rory pretends that she's thrilled about the marriage, but later confesses to Lorelai how angry she actually is. With Logan back in town for the launch of his Internet company, he invites Rory to the launch party where a magazine editor encourages her to write about the event. However, Rory writes the article about the elite lives of the guests, hurting Logan and causing him to call her a hypocrite for living for free in his apartment, leading Rory to move out. Meanwhile, when April needs medical attention, Luke is forced to turn to Lorelai for help.

Episode Quotes |

Lorelai: So ...
Rory: What?
Lorelai: What do you think?
Rory: I don't know, Mom. I can't believe you did this.
Lorelai: Are you mad?
Rory: Yes, I'm mad!
Lorelai: Rory --
Rory: No, don't!
Lorelai: All right, okay, but --
Rory: No, Mom, I can't do this now because Dad is about to come back in and ... I just can't right now. | Luke: April, you can't go to the party if you're sick.
April: I'm not sick.
Luke: Yes you are, sweetie.
April: You're just saying that because you don't want me to go.
Luke: That's not true.
April: It is. You don't trust me!
Luke: Of course I do. But listen, there will be other parties.
April: No!
Luke: I'm sorry, April, you're sick.
April: I'm not!
Luke: Yes you are, sweetie.
April: I can go.
Luke: No, you can't.
April: You suck as a dad! | Rory: You're moving to New York?
Logan: Pretty much.
Rory: Which is an hour away.
Logan: Actually, it's an hour and twenty minutes.
Rory: That's so much closer than London!
Logan: You've been brushing up you geography, huh? | Luke: I can get you some real wrapping paper.
April: Did you not see An Inconvenient Truth? | Christopher: What's you problem with a giant flat screen? I mean, you love TV.
Lorelai: Yeah, but just because I love something doesn't mean I want it to be giant. I love grapes, you know, but I don't wanna sit down and eat one humongous ... no, that would be fun. | Logan: Whether you want to believe it or not, you're one of us! You went to prep school, you go to Yale, and your grandparents are building an entire damn astronomy building in your name!
Rory: That's different! It's not like I'm living off a 5 million dollar trust fund that my parents set up for me.
Logan: Yeah, well, you're not exactly paying rent either!
Rory: Screw you, Logan. | Luke: Dinner's ready.
April: Five more minutes?
Luke: After dinner. Wash your hands. What's so interesting, anyway?
April: Hyperphagia.
Luke: Oh. Right. Cool. | Lorelai: There's nothing worse than taking your kid to the emergency room. You know, I remember when Rory had food poisoning and they had to hook her up to an IV. She just looked so little and scared. It made me feel like they were gonna have to hook me up to an IV.
Luke: Yeah, I was almost out of my mind I was so scared. I mean at one point I got so panicked I thought maybe they could give her my appendix. You know, do some kind of transplant or something. I was, you know, a little out of my mind.
Lorelai: Well, I'm glad she's going to be okay.
Luke: Yeah, she's gonna be alright.
Doctor: Mr. and Mrs. Nardini?
Luke: Oh, no no no. Hi, I'm Luke Danes. I'm April's dad.
Doctor: Well, she's a little out of it right now, but you and your wife can go in and see her.
Luke: No, she's not my --
Lorelai: No. I'm not, uh ...
(Luke notices Lorelai's ring and becomes upset)
Doctor: Oh, sorry. I just assumed. (pause) So, would both of you like to go and see --
Luke: I'll just go and see --
Lorelai: You go.
Luke: Okay all right. | Lorelai: You stinking, lying, stinking, dirty, ratty thief.
Christopher: What?
Lorelai: This is my Police Synchronicity t-shirt! I have been missing this for 22 years! I asked you if you had it. I looked you right in the face and you denied it!
Christopher: I lied.
Lorelai: Oh, you lied! You lied! Do you know how long I looked for this? Days and days. I accused my mother of throwing it out. And she said she didn't. And oh, my God, I hated her. Oh, my God, I could have had the best relationship with her if you hadn't stolen my shirt. Well, keep laughing, buddy, because I'll tell you, the laugh's on you. You better get used to seeing this shirt cause I have to make up for 22 years of not wearing it. | Rory: Just once, you could call me and tell me you are coming home like a normal person.
Logan: Normal is boring, normal is over rated, normal is not why you love me. |
