Christopher returns to make up for lost time with Rory, and Emily, elated about his return, invites both Christopher and his parents to Friday Night Dinner. But tensions between the Haydens and the Gilmores rise, resulting in a fight about Lorelai and Christopher's past. After the fight, Lorelai goes to her old room, to find Christopher on the balcony and old romances are rekindled. The next morning, Lorelai realizes she forgot about Luke and the paint, and apologizes. When Lorelai returns home, Christopher is waiting to ask Lorelai a question.

Lorelai: I’ve known you since I was six Chris. You’re the guy that crashed his Porsche two hours after his parents gave it to him for his 16th birthday.
Christopher: And you were the girl in the Pinky Tuscadero t-shirt sitting right next to me.
Lorelai: Horrified.
Christopher: Think again.
Lorelai: Alright, having a blast then horrified.
| Lorelai: Oh, that would’ve been her dad.
Luke: Really? So that’s uh....
Lorelai: The guy who impregnated me with Rory - yes.
Luke: Oh, well, he did a good job.
Lorelai: Impregnating me with Rory?
Luke: Now this has taken a very weird turn.
| Christopher: (on phone) Uh-huh (pause) Well actually I’m sitting here with your girls. (pause) Sure. (to Lorelai, handing her the phone) She wants to speak to you.
Lorelai: Mm. Hi mom.
Emily: Lorelai, Christopher’s in town!
Lorelai: (gasps) What?! I didn’t know! Although coincidently I’m sitting across an amazing Christopher hologram.
| Rory: (to the Haydens) Hi. (she curtsies)
Lorelai: Did you just curtsy?
Rory: Shut up.
Lorelai: Sorry, milady.
| Lorelai: Oh, I mean no regrets about you. There’s a misspelled tattoo incident that I’m sure he’d like to erase from his bio - but you that’s a no brainer.
Rory: Where does dad have a misspelled tattoo?
Lorelai: Ah, ah, another story for another time, possibly before your first trip to Mazatlan.

When Luke is outside the diner waiting for Lorelai, you can see the reflection of the camera crew in the window to the left of the door when Luke goes inside the dinner.
| Luke comes to the diner twice, presumably from his home. However, in later episodes we learn that Luke lives above the diner.
| During the softball scenes, you can hear the sound of rainfall over the dialogue even though it is not raining in the scene. Near the end of the scene, you can see a few raindrops falls in the middle of the frame.
| When Christopher asks Lorelai to marry him, you can see the shadow of the boom mic on the refrigerator as she responds.
| When Christopher and Lorelai are talking and Rory invites her father to the softball game, she mentions that she's going to do homework before the food arrives. Chris then laughs at her because tomorrow's Saturday. This means that it was Friday, a night where they should have attended Friday night dinner. However, they attend Friday night dinner the next night. Either they skipped dinner or there is a time inconsistancy during the episode.
