Episode Quotes |
| |
Lorelai: Rory, my heart, today is Saturday, the day of rest!
Rory: Sunday's the day of rest.
Lorelai: No, Saturday's the day of pre-rest, see? Then by the time you get to Sunday, you're rested enough...to enjoy your rest.
Rory: That made absolutely no sense.
Lorelai: That's because it's 6:00 in the morning! | Paris: Unbelievable! She’s here five minutes she has a date. I’ve been going to this school nine years and I’m the French soda monitor. | Lorelai: That doesn’t make sense. This is Dean we’re talking about. He’s crazy about you. He calls like 25 times a day. Have you seen the cover of his notebook? It’s one step away from stalker material. | Lorelai: Yeah, you do know honey that garbage doesn’t actually talk at all unless it’s on Sesame Street. | Rory: Some people like getting up early.
Lorelai: You lie. | Lorelai: So now, was there any reason that you suddenly felt the need to move around large pieces of furniture first thing in the morning?
Rory: I was up. It was there.
Lorelai: Okay. Good thought process. | Lane: There would be dancing at the Kim household - followed by a lot of praying - but initially, there would be dancing. | (Rory reads list where Lorelai wrote 'wallow')
Rory: Mom -
Lorelai: What? It's on the list. Don't you have to do it if it's on the list?
Rory: I'm not going to wallow.
Lorelai: But I put it after going to the recycling center. | Lane: Hi, my name's Lane.
Louise: As in, 'walk down a...'
Lane: Yes, exactly. |

Episode Goofs |

When Lorelai opens the kitchen door to go outside with Babette, the door knob changes sides. | When Rory remembers that she forgot the meatball, she says that she left it in the car. However, in the previous episode when Dean takes Rory to the junk yard where her car is, she isn't carrying the to-go bag with the meatball. Since she didn't have it to begin with, she couldn't have left it in the car. | When Rory wakes Lorelai up and shows her the clock, you can tell that the second hand is not moving. | In the opening scene where Rory is on the couch with Lorelai, Rory's purse changes from standing up to being under her arm between shots. | When Miss Patty enters the diner before she talks to Lorelai about Dean and Rory, she is wearing big, colorful earrings. When the camera cuts back to her, she has no earrings on, but when she leaves the diner, she is wearing the earrings again. | When Lorelai and Rory are in the diner, and Kirk is apologizing, the cups move from being close together in the first shot, to being far apart in the next shot without Lorelai, Rory, or Kirk touching them . | The closet where Lorelai puts the 'Dean box' had been a bathroom in previous episodes. |

'Avon Lady' was the nickname given to the door-to-door Avon cosmetics saleswomen. | Rory: I mean it's big but it's not this Hearst Castley.
