Rory, Sookie, Michel and Emily go to a club for Lorelai's bachlorette party, where Emily tells story about her and Richard's wedding. Lorelai notices how everyone else's relationship is different than hers, and begins to have doubts about the wedding. When Rory and Lorelai get home, Lorelai says that she is calling the wedding off, and that they are going on a road trip.

A fair-weather friend who seems benign but packs a wallop like a donkey kick, and that is the Long Island iced tea. When Max, Lorelai, and Rory have breakfast at Luke's, their coffee cups change colors from red to blue between shots and Max's cup goes back and forth from the right side to the left side of his paper without him touching it.
| During the scene where Lorelai and Rory are tasting cakes, the shot cuts from Rory taking a bite of the raspberry cake to Lorelai. When the shot goes back to Rory, the cake is untouched.
