Gilmore Girls: How Many Kropogs to Cape Cod?

Wanting to make a good impression on Logan's powerful father, Mitchum Huntzberger, Rory learns everything she can about him before starting work as an intern at one of his newspapers. When Lorelai learns that Emily and Richard have invited Logan to Friday night dinner, she ends her boycott of family gatherings in order to get to know Logan better. During the evening, Emily and Richard fawn over Logan, but Lorelai sees a side of him that causes her to worry about Rory's involvement with the Huntzberger family. Meanwhile, Lorelai gets an interesting job offer, and Luke tries to talk Taylor into closing the Stars Hollow museum.

Episode Quotes
Lorelai: (watching an automatic vacuum cleaner) You know if we died right now, and decomposed, it would vacuum us up and no one would ever know.
Rory: (watching her own vacuum cleaner while on the phone with Lorelai) Freaky.

Lorelai: Yeah, her genius plan is to come home, go to bed early, set the clock for two, get up and go rock.
Luke: Solid plan.
Lorelai: Yes, except that when the clock goes off at two, she will be dead asleep and won't hear it. I, however, will. I will then proceed to get up, drag myself downstairs, recreating a classic Zucker Brothers moment and then I'll shake her awake. She'll get up, throw on some jeans, a t-shirt, and no make-up and look like a Neutrogena ad, whereas once she leaves, I'll pass out on the couch, too exhausted to make it all the way upstairs, and in the morning I will have bags under my eyes that should have Tumi stamped on them. I love being a mom.

(Lorelai calls Emily but doesn't speak right away)
Emily: Hello? Who are you looking for? Did you dial the wrong number? You know, it's very rude to dial someone and then just sit there on the phone without so much as a grunt or a moan. I mean, as far as perverted phone calls go, this is a very poor one.

Episode Goofs
While Lorelai is on the phone with Richard and is eating dinner with Luke, the plate of food in front of her rotates and changes position between shots.

When Lorelai gets the sewing box back from Logan, he takes it out of the opposite pocket than the one he put it in to.

Cultural References
Lorelai: It's a little pinko, isn't it? I mean, where's Roy Cohn when you need him?

When Roy Cohn was an Assistant U.S. Attorney, he was a major part of the trial of eleven Communist leaders including Julius and Ethel Rosenberg in 1951.

Lorelai: My daughter, my sister, my daughter, my sister, my daughter –

In the movie Chinatown, there is a scene where a hysterical woman describes that her daughter is also her sister.

Rory: Learn a new song, or I am tying you to a chair and putting Hotel Rwanda on again.

Hotel Rwanda is a 2004 film based on the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

Lorelai: In the morning, I will have bags under my eyes that should have TUMI stamped on them.

TUMI is a brand of designer luggage.
