Joan lobbies her law firm to recognize the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, but convincing her very old-fashioned, "boys club" boss that it's a good idea turns out to be an uphill battle. Meanwhile, William tries to fulfill his own dreams by buying a house for his bride-to-be, and Maya's emotional infidelity turns passionate as she risks it all during a secret rendezvous with her new male friend Stan.
