Hell-O - Recap

The Glee Club is basking in the afterglow of winning sectionals. They really think they are popular now, but unfortunately they get hit with slushies thrown in their faces. Will is in the principal's office and has learned that despite the win, Glee is still in danger of getting canceled. Sue shows up and she has brought the principal a coffee, but not one for Will. Of course, because she doesn't like him. She also makes flirtation with the principal somewhat creeping him out.

Now that football season has ended and now it is time for Finn and Puck to play basketball. The team is pretty awful. The good news is that Finn has finally got his girl. The bad news is she is completely nuts and is pressuring him. In other relationship news, when Ken and Emma broke up he put on a bunch of weight and then stopped the hygiene train all together.

There is a flashback that informs the viewers that Sue had drugged the principal. She did this so that she could trick him into thinking that they had slept together. She blackmailed him for her job back. She tells Will that she is going to get him fired if it is the last thing that she does.

At Glee Club, Will asks the group a question. He asks what they say when answering the phone. Kurt replies with "No, she's dead. This is his son." Elsewhere, Sue is giving Brittany and Santana a good tongue lashing. She is upset that they didn't mess up sectionals and now wants them to break up Finn and Rachel. Next, Finn gets to sing "Hello, I love you" and makes all the girls (and Kurt) squee with excitement. After that, Santana and Brittany go up to him while they are holding hands. They think he's a great dancer and they ask him out on a date---with the both of them.

After that Finn breaks up with Rachel. She's not happy about it and tells him that she is the only one who gets him and just understands him and appreciates him for who he really is. Due to this heartbreak, Rachel gets a solo and gets to sing The All American Rejects hit song "Gives You Hell". There was even a breakdown where one of the members got to dance.

After this, Rachel goes to the nearby record store. She sees Jesse and he is the for their opposing team Vocal Adrenaline. They are very flirtatious with one another and sing "Hello" by Lionel Richie. They seem to really like one another. He then decides to ask her out. At Finn's date with the girls, he is having a miserable time. They aren't being nice to him at all and they tell him that if they are bought dinner they will make out for him. Eventually he is put into a position where he has to defend Rachel and they get mad at him and force him to go wait in the car.

Will is finally on his first date with Emma. Things are getting pretty hot, but she puts a stop to it. She tells him that she's a virgin and may not be ready. Will is kind of shocked by this so he backs off. Elsewhere, Finn decides that he really wants to get back with Rachel. She is not interested in being with him at all and she just wants to work on what is going on with his new nemesis Jesse. Finn is sad by this and pretty confused considering that it was quite the quick rebound.

The girls Brittany and Santana go back to Sue and talk to her. She is disappointed and calls them the most stupid teens she's ever met. They tell Sue that Rachel is no longer interested in Finn. They tell her that she is dating Jesse now and really likes him. That is when Sue says that it is time for a new plot.

Will goes to check out rehearsal at Vocal Adrenaline and they are rehearsing Highway to Hell by AC/DC. He wants to call out the team's coach who is called Miss Corcoran. He is worried that Jesse is a spy and she tells him that he isn't into Rachel because of that. He is really interested in her and the heart wants what it wants. Besides, she doesn't do plots of destruction.

Next thing we know, Will and Miss Corcoran are going at it like they're in high school themselves. He stops it and she worries that he may be gay. He isn't, of course. He tells her that he has recently gotten separated and that he is actually dating someone else. He tells her that he is a mess and she tells him that he should take time to find out who he is and then contact her in regards to that.

Some of the club members get together (Mercedes, Tina, Kurt, and Artie) and confront Rachel about her new boyfriend. They give her an ultimatum saying that she leaves him or they quit. Sue is working on keeping Rachel and Jesse together, though. She gathers her crew of women and they try to figure out how they are going to do it all.

Will's future ex wife shows up at his place and she sees that his current (Emma) is setting the table for a sweet dinner. She gets rude and jealous. She puts a lot of ideas into her head about him. Elsewhere, Rachel talks to Jesse and he tells her that he is very real about his feelings. They decide that they are going to date on the down low and Jesse kisses her.

Will and Emma have decided that they need to stop dating until Will realizes what he wants and who he is. Finn wants to get back with Rachel pretty badly, but she says how it would be the worst for Glee Club if they did actually date. He makes it clear that he will get her back and then they have a set where they sing Hello Goodbye by the Beatles. Both Finn and Rachel are lead on this song, too.
