Asian F - Recap

Mercedes is stressing over giving it her all and it is getting even more hardcore in booty camp. He found a stash of wedding magazines...and an autographed photo by Vera Wang. He wonders why he hasn't met her parents, if she's serious about them. She doesn't want to rush things.

Mike and his father are in the office and his father is convinced he is doing drugs, but the principal says that he's the best student in school. He wants Mike's girlfriend gone. He got an "Asian F", which is an A-. He also wants him to quit Glee club. He'll do better, he promises. He just wants one more chance.

Coach tells the team that they all need to learn to dance. Mercedes' boyfriend tries to convince her that she's better than Rachel. She does a great performance and Rachel is a bit nervous.

Mike talks to his girlfriend and she asks if he's auditioning. He says he's not doing it. He says he's overwhelmed and losing focus. Kurt and Rachel are talking about the fact that Brittany is running, so "he's definitely going to win". They want to win so they can get women in control. She tells everyone she's going to be the next president.

The teachers discuss Mercedes and her change. She did a great job auditioning and they are making them have a call back. They picked a song "Out Here on My Own" to show they have what it takes.

Mike really wants to get his grades up. He walks by the Glee-room and decides to dance a bit. He looks around and starts dancing pretty hard. He looks in the mirror and his dad is "there" telling him that is a waste of time. His girlfriend shows up and tells him that she knows who he is truly when she sees him dance. She's not really there, either. He is terribly conflicted. He is late for the audition and he wants to audition for Griff. He says he's been working on his singing. He kills the audition with what seems like the entire football team. He says it is what he loves to do, it's never going to be a waste of his time.

The teachers are eating lunch in the lounge. Coach is carbo-loading. She says Will should be proud of Emma. She tells him how amazing he is and that he should really just introduce himself. Kurt got Blake flowers. He'd rather celebrate him. Brittany wants to dance her way into the voters hearts so she's there now. Finn and Mercedes are having issues. She's upset and she's done. She said she's outgrown Will and all of Glee. He tells her that if she walks out, she's out of Glee. She hasn't been feeling that well and Santana says she's getting fatter. They are all telling her that she's selfish. She's not feeling well, she's got pain. She ain't going. It's over for her, apparently.

Mike's mother shows up to give him grief for the dancing. He says he auditioned. He doesn't want to be a surgeon or a lawyer. He wants to be an artist, the only time he really feels special is when he dances. She starts to cry. She tells him that her job is to support his dreams. They are going to be honest once they know if he got the part with his father. He asks what dream she let go of, she said that she loved dancing. He tells her that some people think he's a pretty good teacher and shows her some steps. They dance together and it's a terribly endearing moment.

Now is the time that Rachel and Mercedes go against one another for the lead female part of West Side Story. Mercedes goes first. She does a really decent job. Rachel also does an amazing job, too. Rachel feels like Mercedes was better than her and she ends up going to talk to the coach. She wants to talk to her about it.

Will and Emma discuss their relationship. He worries that he's ashamed of her. He has a dinner set up with several plates and she invited her parents over for dinner. She's losing her mind over it. She's not ashamed of him, but her parents. Her parents are "gingers supremacists". Emma is losing it. They are ridiculous and racist.Will calls them on it. He defends her OCD, because they kept calling her a freak over it.

Now Rachel is running for president and Kurt is not okay with it. He wants to win. She tells her that in ten years, she's not going to be thinking about the parts she had and the success. She's going to be thinking about the friends she just tossed aside.


Rachel and Mercedes talk to the judges and they are double casting Maria. They both get to play Maria. They are adding a week. They both get 4 nights and 2 matinees. She is done with no one wanting to hurt Rachel. She doesn't want the part and walks out. Finn is there and Rachel tells him that she got it by default. She doesn't know what to do.

Emma is upset over her parents and she prays before she goes to bed. She is so hurt and sad. She prays on her knees, nothing is working for her but he has her back and is willing to learn how to deal with it.

Mercedes goes to Shelby.
