Good Morning America is a weekday morning news show that airs on ABC. It was first shown in 1975, and in January of that year, ABC launched a program called A.M. America which was supposed to be similar to NBC's Today Show. It wasn't successful, so it changed its format when ABC studied The Morning Exchange Show, and later that year in November, Good Morning America had aired. It occasionally has competitions with The Today Show. The show on ABC features news, talk, weather, special interest, and Washington D.C stories. It is broadcast in HDTV.
