Double Identity - Recap

Blair and Serena are still in Paris and things seem to be going good for at least Blair. Blair has smoothed things over with Louis and he has actually decided to give it another shot with her. As for Serena, things aren't going as well for her. She has to go to the morgue so that she can ID Chuck Bass' supposed body. When she goes to the morgue, she was definitely sure that that was not his body.

Serena goes back to talk to Blair about everything and Blair tells her that she actually saw Chuck with her own two eyes. As for Serena, she is now on a search for her step sibling. She ends up in a wine bar that he works at. She asks the boss of the bar about him and she is led straight to where he is. She goes to his apartment and he acts like he has no clue who she is. He slams the door in her face and then she goes to wait for him to come out. He comes out to speak to her. He tells her that he doesn't want to go back, doesn't intend to go back. After Blair broke his heart, he just has no interest in being in that part of the world. Not only that, but it would make all of his haters happy.

Serena tells Blair what he said and she acts as if it doesn't bother her one bit. It seems that the date went well with Louis and she has been invited to a ball with him. She is looking for the perfect dress and Louis sends her jewelry for her to select to wear. She finds an absolutely beautiful ring that oddly enough ends up being the ring that Chuck was going to give her when he was going to propose to her before he ended up throwing it all away with that Jenny.

Blair says that his intentions to propose to her wouldn't change what happened or who it happened with. Serena doesn't want her to move on from Chuck because she's the only hope of getting him to stick around instead of just slipping into the background. Chuck and his girlfriend Eva are about to hop a train to get out of the area and when this happens Blair goes to find him and stop him from leaving. She says that he really should have told her that something happened to him. He tells her he's just in awe that she wasn't the one that tried to do him in.

He tells her that he destroyed everything he even cared about. She hands him the ring and says that he hasn't destroyed her and that it wouldn't be the same without him in her life. Blair then goes to break up with Louis and Chuck gets ready to head home. He asks that Eva come with him.

Nate and Juliet are still spending time getting to know one another. He tells her everything about what has been going on. She is amazed by all of the drama and thinks that Serena's life is the "most complicated Jane Austen novel, ever". She decides after the whole story that Nate actually needs a life coach. She wants to get rid of the competition for Serena. First, she tells a lie. She tells Vanessa that in a round about way She found out that Dan still has some strong feelings for her. This is when it all comes crashing down. Dan and Vanessa end up hooking up together. Nate isn't feeling too good about the set up and Dan finds out that this was all nonsense. Vanessa finds out and leaves because she is hurt.

Vanessa and Dan speak and he says that he really does have feelings for her and that she shouldn't be upset by it. Nate and Juliet get back on the right track after she apologizes. Serena gets to come back with her problems solved in regards to romance. She does wonder why there is a child in Dan's loft, however. People have decided to avoid the answer to that question entirely, though.

Rufus has been sneaky and finding out some interesting facts. He happens upon the hospital bracelet of Milo's and notices that the baby's blood type is different than Dan. This means that the baby is more than likely not his child. To add to the confusion, there is also a scene where Juliet is taking down most of her bulletin board leaving Serena's mug shot. She is on the phone with someone and says that she had to improvise but it is done. She also tells this person that they should hang in there and that she misses them.
