The Undergraduates - Recap

The Gossip Girl website is down. Blair is fretting, Serena is happy, and
Chuck wakes up to a note on the pillow next to him. He goes to the roof
to find his mysterious woman, and they exchange a passionate kiss.

Serena and Blair are walking along, talking. Serena says she and Nate
are still friends, even if he is dating some gorgeous blond named
Juliet. The ladies need to find a key master to get into a super secret
society at college.

Rufus and Lily touch base by phone. Rufus is going to go talk to Dan
about the baby’s paternity, and he’s nervous. When he arrives, he asks
Dan where Georgina is. Dan says she’s out and asks what this is about.

Nate gives Chuck back his little black book. Chuck asks about Serena,
and Nate says that’s over. Chuck dumps his book in the garbage, and
exchanges loving pleasantries with Eva. He sends her upstairs for a spa.
She tells him his life is perfect and he says now hers is, too.

Penelope greets Serena and Blair by telling them this is a private club,
and they should get out. Her aunt is a founding member, so she won’t be
leaving at Blair’s behest. She aims B&S at the key master. There’s only
one key left, and it’s for Blair. Just then Gossip Girl finally comes
back live, and the whole place is full of chirping cell phones.

Gossip Girl wonders why Chuck has gone to visit his stepmother Lily
solo, without his new bon ami. Eric texts Rufus asking why Chuck is
there. Rufus asks Dan if he wants him to stick around to talk to
Georgina, and Dan says no, you go ahead. They hug, and Rufus heads out -
the baby starts crying.

Also spotted, Lonely Boy’s baby momma, looking like one hot momma on the
beach at St. Bart’s. If she’s flown the coop, who’s cleaning up her
baby’s poop? Dan sees Georgina’s pic on the computer. The baby starts
crying.

Juliet tells Serena that Hamilton House is for members only, and she
says she’ll see herself out.

Chuck apologizes to Lily for what happened with Jenny. He says he could
have helped her but instead he just used her pain for his own
self-destruction. Lily thanks him, but asks him not to disappear again.
Chuck shares about the wonderful young woman he met, who found him and
nursed him back to health. Lily asks when she gets to meet Eva, and
Chuck wants to know when it would be appropriate. Lily tells him he
doesn’t have a fan club, but she’ll talk to Rufus and Eric and see if
she can make some progress. She suggests he bring Eva to Fashion’s Night
Out tomorrow. Everybody can meet and mingle without the pressure of a
dinner. Chuck likes the sound of that, and thanks Lily for everything.

Blair offers to turn down Hamilton House, but Serena refuses to hear of
it. They agree to meet later for dinner. Serena then calls Dan and
interrupts his call trying to track down Georgina. He flips off her
call, telling her he’ll call her later. She then runs into Nate and asks
him to walk her to class as she is woefully lost. He says sorry but he’s
late for class. She invites him to join her and Blair for dinner, saying
“We can start our own club”. Nate responds “Well you know what, I’m
already part of this one”.

Rufus goes home and confronts Lily about not only why Chuck was there,
but why he had to hear about it from Eric. Lily tells Rufus that Chuck
is trying to make amends and take responsibility.

While Eva is trying on gowns, Chuck gets called away on business. She
tells him she does not know what gown to buy, and he tells her to buy
them all.

Blair and Juliet chat about Hamilton House, and when Juliet leaves Eva
and Blair have a bit of a confrontation. Blair hurls some pretty harsh
insults and walks out.

Vanessa listens while Dan explains that he things Georgina is gone for
good. Her passport is gone, the only thing she left behind is Milo.

Blair is having the traditional martini night with the girls, which is
running late so she gets a phone call from Serena, asking what the
hold-up is, as she’s starving. Blair starts to say she’ll be there
shortly, but Juliet insists she stays - it’s tradition. She also asks
Blair not to tell Serena, and then says she shouldn’t leave. Blair asks
for a rain check, says she’s feeling more like a bubble bath than
bubbly. Serena says sure, then sees Blair on Gossip Girl, drinking it up.

Nate finds Juliet. He tells her he’ll volunteer to work Fashion’s Night
Out so they can be half work, half play.

Blair and Serena meet up, and B tells S she’s sorry she didn’t tell her
the truth last night, but Juliet told her it would hurt S’s feelings.
Serena says “Oh, she’s dating my ex- and she can’t remember my name, but
all of a sudden she’s concerned about my feelings?” S thinks Juliet is
behind all of this, and Blair realizes that Serena thinks she’s only not
in because of Juliet, not because Blair was a better pick. She tells
Serena this isn’t a conspiracy, she just doesn’t know how to handle it
when she loses. She tells Serena to face it, Hamilton House just didn’t
want her.

Serena asks a young woman leaving Hamilton House if she just got a key,
and the answer is yes. Seems Juliet lied about the last key. She then
sees Nate and Juliet leaving arm-in-arm, under an umbrella.

Eva refuses to go to the evening out. Chuck learns that Blair shredded
Eva’s self-esteem at the shop yesterday. Eva agreed that is what
happened. She fears that once they arrive at the party, Chuck will see
her through everybody else’s eyes and it won’t be so charming then.
Chuck tells her he’s glad she’s not so comfortable with his life, it
speaks to her character. She decides to join them, and asks Chuck’s help
in remembering all their names again.

Rufus and Eric discuss giving Chuck a second chance. Eric feels Chuck is
out of second chances. Rufus says this is hard for him too, but they
have to try. Eric accidentally tells Rufus that when Jenny was a
freshman, Chuck tried to force himself on her at a party. He says that
the last time isn’t the first - the last time just makes it clear that
Chuck has always been bad, and always will be.

Vanessa is watching Milo while Dan checks in with social services. He
comes out and says they are leaving and never going back, because Milo
would go into foster care, and Dan would never see him again. He says
there is a wall stuffed with pictures of kids waiting to be adopted. He
doesn’t care if Milo isn’t his biological son. If Georgina does not suit
up, he’s keeping him.

Serena confronts Julia about the other keys. Julia claims that ‘somebody
else’ didn’t want her there, and that somebody was Blair. She claimed
that B called two night ago, and told the alumni about a sex tape of
Serena’s. She asked if S really thought B was going to let her steal her
spotlight at Columbia. Juliet then apologized.

Dan and Vanessa talk about how he’s going to handle being a single dad,
and attend school. Vanessa suggests she move in and raise Milo with Dan
as though she were Georgina. Dan is reluctant, but agrees.

Everybody is already at Fashion’s Night Out. Serena arrives looking for
Blair, and walks away to find her. Chuck and Eva arrive, and Rufus and
Eric confront Chuck. Chuck denies Eva is his girlfriend to prevent Rufus
from filling her in on his sordid past. Eva hurries away, obviously hurt.

Juliet meets up with the gang from Hamilton House, and they tell her
that Serena thinks Blair blocked her from getting into Hamilton House.
Gossip Girl is streaming their confrontation live. When “giving your mom
fake cancer” is brought up, the claws come out and the altercation turns
physical. Juliet says she’s seen enough, and they have to save B from
“That crazy bitch”. When she pulls the curtain aside, S&B are on a love
seat. S says “turns out I’m not crazy”, and B chimes in “or the bitch”.
GG says “Spotted: S&B discovering the joys of film making. Smile for
your close-up, Juliet.” Gossip Girl ran the tape as a favor to the
girls, as she is supposed to be the only one screwing around with people.

Dan is filling Milo in on the new changes in his life, when there’s a
knock at the door. He’s hoping it is Vanessa, bearing pizza, but it’s
Georgina. First she claims she’s home from the spa, then that someone
was trying to kill her.

Blair tells Juliet that her ploy would have worked in high school, but
not now. Serena asks if she really thought they wouldn’t know anybody on
the committee. Lily says half the board at Bass Enterprises is on the
alumni and Serena has always been at the top of the list. Because Juliet
messed up so badly, she is no longer the key master, and her key is
given to Serena at Lily’s order. Nate sees it all unfold. Juliet walks
away, with Nate on her heels. Serena calls his name, and asks if he’s
really running after her. Nate says he didn’t find their show as
charming as everybody else did.

Serena is confused, she thought they’d ended things on a positive note.
Nate said it took him until now to realize how angry he actually is at her.

Georgina is filling Dan in on how things transpired. She says when she
got on the plane to Minsk, the guy from the bar wasn’t next to her; it
was some Russian businessman named Sergei. By the time they landed, they
were platinum members of the Mile High Club. Dan chimes in “why am I NOT
surprised.” Georgina said everything would have been fine if he hadn’t
told his loony wife Oksana that she was carrying his child. She came
back because three guys named Boris were paid a lot of money to hunt her
down. Once she proved Dan was the father (which he was not), the goons
were called off.

Because she spent the past 24 hours in an intense family counseling
session, she and Milo are going to be moving in with her folks. Dan says
he can’t allow it. Georgina says Milo is not his, so he has no say in
the matter. Vanessa walks in and asks what’s going on, and Dan says Milo
is going home.

Lily finds Chuck, and he heaves a deep sigh. She tells him Rufus told
her what happened. Lily already knew, and Jenny told her that she wants
to put the past in the past, and move on. Chuck is amazed to know that
Lily knew and still befriended him. He rushes to try to intercept Eva
before she leaves, but she is understandably hurt and angry. He says
everything he did before he met her was horrible. She says she’s leaving
so as long as that’s the case, he should tell her what secrets he was
trying to keep from her.

Back at Fashion’s Night Out, Chuck tells Blair Eva left but before the
conversation goes any further, he sees Eva has entered the room. They
kiss and when he turns to look at Blair, she’s gone. He takes Eva to
meet his family.

Nate approaches Juliet and asks if he’s the reason she wouldn’t let
Serena into Hamilton House. She says yes, and they kiss. Serena and
Blair see them, and Blair makes a snide remark. They walk off together.

Vanessa asks Dan how he’s doing and he says he’s okay. Rufus told him to
throw himself into work to get over the pain. Vanessa asks if she should
just haul all her stuff back where it came from, and he said no, he
wants here there. They hug, and go to move her things in.

S&B are having an evening chat before bed. Blair shows Serena her new
bedroom - in Blair’s house! They’re roommates now.

Eva starts unpacking to remain with Chuck, and Dan and Vanessa kiss as
they are dropping off a load of boxes. Juliet visits a man in prison who
says the girls are giving her some trouble, but things are moving along.
They hold hands.
