Touch of Eva - Recap

Chuck has become a philanthropist, thanks to the new heart Eva has given
him. Dorota tries telling Blair that her papers are missing. Blair
doesn't buy it. According to Gossip Girl, Chuck gave Eva a watch that's
worth more than anything he ever gave her. She doesn't know how she can
attend Chuck's gala later. Blair thinks it's clear Eva has an agenda.
Serena disagrees; Eva actually seems nice. However, Blair notices that
Serena is monitoring Nate and Juliet and Dan and Vanessa. Serena says
it was just so easy in Paris, and Blair retorts "YOU were so easy in
Paris." They make an agreement. She'll leave Nate and Dan alone, and
Blair will do the same with Chuck. They agree to skip the gala and just
have some nesting time.

Vanessa makes pancakes for Dan and tells him to take a shower and change
clothes. She has called in reinforcements, in the form of Rufus and Lily.

Chuck says that at his gala, he's going to announce a $5,000,000
charity. Trouble is, the world is a messed up place and he doesn't know
where to best apply the funds. Eva says she can't take credit for Chuck.
He's just on a journey. Juliet notes that Eva really is from Europe.
Nate tells Chuck all the changes he's made are amazing. Chuck gives
all credit to Eva. He says she gave him a chance without knowing
anything about him. Now he wants to be a better man for her. Chuck
then asks Nate how things are with Juliet and Nate says that he doesn't
know. He's never even been in her apartment. Chuck tells him that most
people don't go from zero to monogamous that fast; she's probably seeing
other people. Nate doesn't believe him. As they approach the girls,
Juliet is texting. She says she has to leave, as her neighbor is locked
out of her apartment, and she has the spare key.

Dan is explaining why he's doing the things he does. He's relieved that
the baby is gone. He's catching up on his sleep. Rufus and Lily tell
him that it's natural he would miss Milo. He was there when the baby
was born, he held him in his arms, he thought that was his son. Dan says
that was not his son, he was a waste of the summer. He's leaving for
Nate's. He would have told Vanessa sooner, but the intervention intervened.

Serena and Blair both break their deal. Serena sees on Gossip Girl that
Blair is at the Cartier store. S calls B and tells her she broke the
deal. B answers that Serena only knows, because she was watching Gossip
Girl. B claims she's there because her watch is broken. She then
breaks her watch. She sees Eva there and stops talking.

Dan approaches Serena. He says he was just out for walk and found
himself at her door. She is happy to see him.

As Blair records on her phone, it appears Eva is selling the watch Chuck
bought her. She shows up at Chuck's for tea. He tells Blair that he
knows her, and therefore this is more likely about a scheme than a
scone. She asks him if it's not possible that she has changed, just as
he has. Eva comes out of the bedroom, and joins Blair and Chuck for
tea. Blair says she would like to see the Cartier watch, but Eva says
she took it in to be re-sized. Blair says "don't you mean returned",
and shows Chuck the recording of Eva selling it. Chuck asks why she did
this, and she says to help a friend. Ivan, Chuck's valet, says she got
the money for him, so his mom wouldn't lose her house. Chuck asks Eva
why she helped his valet, and she said because he was kind to her. She
apologizes and asks so she could wear something so decadent, when it
could save the family's home. Chuck asks Eva to select a charity for him.

Dan and Serena are walking in the park. He is filling her in on how
Milo is not actually his son. He says everybody wants him to talk about
Milo, but he doesn't want to, he's just relieved. She says they'll just
hang together, and not talk about anything serious, but first she has to
take a call. It's Blair, talking about how badly things went at
Chuck's. Serena tries to give her grief, but then Blair hears Dan.
Once again, they both broke the deal. Serena think she didn't because
Dan came to her. Blair asks for Serena and Dan to help take down Eva.
They should go to their computer, and she will send them clues as they
become available.

Eva is holding a puppy, and Blair says they are a much better charity
choice than those kids with the cleft palates. She apologizes again for
the whole watch snafu. She says she's used to protecting Chuck, and old
habits die hard. She wants to be friends with Eva, so asks her to share
her entire life story.

Nate is spying on Juliet. He finds her leaving the subway on the night
she told him she had to work late. He tells Chuck that he was right
about her, and asks what he should do. Chuck says the Old Chuck Bass
would play the same game, make her jealous. But the new Chuck Bass
would be honest, and Nate should tell her how he feels. Nate says he
hopes Chuck didn't lose old Chuck's number because Blair and Eva are at
the park together.

Everything Eva confides in Blair is relayed to Serena and Dan for
investigation. They aren't coming up with anything, but they certainly
are having fun doing it.They're having a lot of fun bantering, but then
Serena asks if Vanessa knows where Dan is. He admits he said he was
going to see Nate. Dan says things just got really weird after Vanessa
moved in. He thinks Vanessa isn't convinced he's over Serena, and she's
probably right.

Juliet sneaks up behind Nate while he's researching her online. He
slams his laptop shut, and tells her he read about her on Gossip Girl.
He asks if she's seeing anyone else, and she says no. She wants to be
exclusive if he does. He says yes he does, but he needs her to be
honest with him. She agrees. Vanessa walks in, announcing her intent
to kidnap Dan.

Blair is back home. She tells Dan and Serena that Eva is a saint. She
says Eva is so wonderful, that a homeless man licked her arm. Dan and
Serena start laughing, because Eva is probably used to that, since Eva
was a prostitute. Blair asks how they got the information. Dan
searched for brothels, almost as a joke. Turns out a lot of them have
web sites, and there she was. B says she's never been so happy to see
Internet porn. She tosses Dan out, and tells Serena she needs her to
help pick out a beautiful gown for the gala. Serena says we weren't
going. B says that's all changed, and what better place to announce
that Chuck Bass' lady is actually a lady of the evening. Serena admits
she has made up her mind, and Dan's the man. Blair says this means they
both need to look fabulous tonight.

Dan gets home and finds Rufus picking up some of his stuff. He asks
where Vanessa is, and Rufus says she went to Nate's to find him. Dan
admits that he was with Serena. Rufus tells him he was wrong to do so,
because he is living with Vanessa. Dan tells Rufus about how he was
going to tell Serena he loved her in Paris, but then Georgina threw a
spanner in all of it. Dan's phone rings and he takes the call. It's
Nate, letting Dan know he covered for him with Vanessa. Dan tells Nate
he was with Serena. Nate reminds him that they agreed they would both
stay away from Serena. Dan says this was different. He was helping
Blair investigate Eva. At first he won't tell Nate what they found out,
but then he spills the beans. Nate is stunned. Dan asks Nate not to
tell Chuck, because Blair wants to.

Vanessa and Juliet are talking about Dan and Serena. Vanessa doesn't
want to confront Dan, because she fears it will push him further away.
Juliet says Vanessa should confront Serena, and she knows just where she is.

Nate tells Chuck that Eva is a prostitute. Chuck says he already knew.
Nate is greatly relieved, but tells Chuck to be careful because Blair
wants to do damage with this information.

Serena invites Dan to the charity thing, and he accepts. Chuck walks in
on Eva, and she asks him what he thinks of her ensemble. He doesn't
answer. She takes one look at him and says "You know." He walks into the
room and closes the door.

Nate, Juliet and Vanessa arrive at the event. Juliet asks Nate to check
their coats, as they go in search of Vanessa. Her phone beeps, and it's
a text from Ben, asking where she is. Nate sees it.

Blair and Serena arrive. Lily greets them, saying they look terrific.
Serena asks Lily about the manila envelope she's holding, and it's meant
for Chuck. Serena says Ivan is his valet, she can just give it to him.
Chuck and Eva enter, holding hands. Blair tries to drop the news on him,
but he already knows. She calls him a fool for not letting the news
affect his feelings for Eva.

Dan finds Serena right before Vanessa finds them both. Nate gives Juliet
her message. He also tells her she's just like Serena, as he walks away.

Dan tells Vanessa he just needed to have some fun, it didn't mean
anything. She replies that if that were true, he wouldn't have found it
necessary to lie about it. She tells him if he wants to be with Serena,
he should be sure that she just wants to be with him, too.

Blair eavesdrops on Eva and Chuck. Eva says since his past didn't matter
to her, it is logical that he would be forgiving of hers as well. He is
then called up to make his big announcement. He declares Eva will
administer the foundation, it is $5,000,000 to whoever or whatever she
finds most worthy.

Blair approaches Ivan and says she'll need to see that envelope Lily
gave him. She pulls a passport out of it and a secretive smile spreads
across her face. She pulls Chuck aside and tells him that while she was
searching Eva's suitcase, she found Chuck's passport. This means Eva
really did know who he was.

Nate approaches Serena, looking for Chuck. He tells her he thinks he
just broke up with Juliet. She places her hand over Nate's and tells her
if he ever needs her, she'll be there for them. Dan watches.

Blair gives Chuck his passport back. He confronts Eva, and she says
she'll pack her things. He says only the things she came with. Chuck
tells Blair he feels stupid for believing somebody could actually love him.

Serena asks Dan about his conversation with Vanessa. He says he saw her
talking to Nate. He asks which of them she was coming home from Paris
to. She says she was trying to choose. Dan informs her that some people
don't need to choose, and leaves.

Lily meets Chuck in the bar and tells him that she gave his personal
effects to Ivan. Passport, etc. that the police sent last week. He
realizes immediately that Blair tricked him, but it's too late. Eva
tells him there's something between him and Blair, she says good-bye,
and leaves.

Juliet tells Nate Ben is her brother. She wants to tell him everything,
but she's not ready yet. She says she's ready to show him her apartment.

Dan goes home and finds Vanessa packing her things. He tells her she was
right about everything. They hold each other, and he tells her he loves
her.

Serena says she can't have Dan or Nate; if she has one, she'll miss the
other. She needs to find someone who has the best of both of them. Blair
says that's a mature decision, and she hasn't made one of those herself
for a very long time. Dorota announces that Chuck is downstairs. When
Blair gets down there, he tells her he knows what she did. He asks if
she still loves him, and she says no. He says that means she did it to
hurt him. She cost him the woman that made him a better man, and now
that she's gone, he's going to revert to his bad old self. He tells
Blair that this means war.

Nate and Juliet arrive at her apartment. The desk man calls her over and
tells her the owners will be back tomorrow. He gives her a key, and she
gives him money.

Ivan tells Chuck that Eva said she was leaving. He apologizes, and says
she will be missed. Chuck fires him.
