Riding In Town Cars With Boys - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Nate is invited to the exclusive Camp Allen by his grandfather for the weekend. Nate tells Chuck this; Chuck is very impressed.

Dan talks to Serena about his book, the way it ended and how it seemed to change not only his life, but those of his family, also. He asks Serena to consider changing the ending, writing
it for him. She says she will think about it. Dan's dad tells Dan to tell Blair how he feels about her, that if he does, at least he will be able to move on with his life. Dan considers the idea.

A delivery man comes to Blair's apartment to deliver a package, pulls out a camera and snaps a picture of her. She decides that she is not safe from the paparazzi in her own home so
she thinks that perhaps Chuck's place would be safest. She phones Chuck, tell him that she is coming to stay with him for a while.

Blair tells Dan that she needs to find Louie and convince him that he will not lose her but that something seems to be stopping her. What is it, she wonders? She tells Dan she needs his help.
Dan says she should make a list of the pros and cons of loving Louie, to consider that he is the father of the child she is carrying. Dan wants to tell Blair that he loves her, but isn't ready to
do that just yet.

Max, who is still in town, phones Charlie, demands the full fifty thousand dollars, threatens to expose her if she doesn't come through with it. She says go ahead, my family has fully
accepted me. Frustrated, Max comes up with a tentative plan.

Serena and her father discuss Blair going to stay with Chuck at his loft apartment. Blair phones Chuck, asking him if he could love another man's child, what choice should she make? He tells
her that only she can decide to marry Louie or not.

Nate's grandfather tells him that he had Diana hire Nate to work at The Spectator. Nate is a bit shocked. Shortly after, Trip Vanderbilt tells Nate that his grandfather has manipulated both of them,
to watch the older man closely.

Serena phones Dan, tells him that she thinks it is a huge mistake to allow Blair to stay with him. He tells her to stay out of his business, that this has nothing to do with her. Miffed, she hangs up
on him.

Max shows up at The Spectator to try to sell Charlie's story to Max, who will have none of it, tells Max to leave. Soon after, Charlie comes into Nate's office, invites him to the party that Lily is
throwing that night for Charlie, but Nate says that he will be busy. He tells her that her ex had been there a short while ago, but that he wasn't able to sell his story to Nate.

Lily thanks Chuck for allowing her to throw Charlie's party at his suite. They discuss Blair's upcoming wedding. Lily says that she loves Chuck unconditionally as her stepson; he is deeply touched.

Serena tells Louie she knows where Blair is staying. Louie wants to tell Blair that he still loves her, wants to be there for her and the coming child.

Blair and Dan hug. He asks her, what does she really want? She replies that she does want to be happy, but isn't sure she knows how to do that.

Louie and Chuck go to Chuck's place to see Blair, but she is not there. Where can she be?

Trip accosts Nate's grandfather, demands to know why he has decided that Nate is to be the future leader of their family? The grandfather smiles sardonically, says that Nate is the best choice
for that, and leaves. Trip is approached by Max, who asks who he is. Max says he is someone who is sick of being kicked around, has something to tell him.

Dan blindfolds a puzzled Blair, leads her to a room that is lit by many candles. Taking off the blindfold, he shows her the room. She demands to know what is going on. He tells he that he has
brought her there to hide from the paparazzi, then leaves the room. She does not know that the room is part of the suite belonging to Chuck, the one where Charlie's party is going to be held that night.

Max shows up at Charlie's party to share her story with attending reporters. He runs into Nate, who demands that he leave. Nate locates Charlie to give her a heads up on Max.

Chuck enters the room where Blair is waiting. He tells her that he still loves her, that he will love her baby too. In the next room, Charlie finds out from Nate that Blair and Chuck are together, sends a text to someone. It turns out that she has sent a blast about the two to Gossip Girl, alerting the reporters present to that fact. Nate gets a text about the blast on his phone, tells the would be lovers that
the blast has gone out and that a car is waiting below in the garage to take them to somewhere safe. Meanwhile, Lily is announcing her devotion to her "niece", Charlie, to the party goers. Charlie
sees Chuck and Blair leaving, is unhappy. Chuck and Blair's limo leaves a large oil spot on the garage floor as they are driven away.

Serena tells Dan that she is sorry for having been so hard on him earlier in the day. He tells her he realized that Blair still loves Chuck, that is why he didn't feel free to confess his own
feelings to Blair. He engineered that meeting for the two so that they could be together. He tells Serena that he only wants Blair to be happy. Serena is pleased.

Max phones Charlie, tells her he is moving back to Portland. She wishes him luck.

The paparazzi are riding motorcycles very close to Chuck's car on a narrow, winding road, causing a hazard. Inside the car, Blair is telling Chuck that she loves him, that she cannot marry Louie.
Nate's car is following the pair, Nate on the phone telling his grandfather that he is on the way to Westchester Airport to catch his plane. He comments to his grandfather about how close those
motorcycles seem to be to Chuck's car, that he fears for their safety. Just then, Chuck's car crashes on the side of the road!

At the hospital, Nate is telling Dan and Serena what he saw about the crash, that he feels certain that the paparazzi caused it. Charlie, Lily and her husband are there too. Serena says it is all
Gossip Girl's fault, that she has been causing havoc and chaos to the family for years. Serena wants to bring down Gossip Girl. Dan says lets use The Spectator to do that!

Charlie confesses to Mr. Humphrey that she sent the blast to Gossip Girl, that it is her fault, that she is a fraud. She goes to a corner, phones Carol, leaves a message saying that she
is leaving town tonight.
