The scene opens with Dan saving his latest book proposal while Chuck reads that Dan’s latest book is a best seller. In a bathroom, Serena goes up to Blair and pushes her a little. Later, Alexandra calls Chuck and says that he didn’t have to buy her a gift. He says that he wanted to and asks her out to lunch. She says that Dan has his new book deal and that she is busy. He sets up a date for later. Dan comes downstairs to find his dad, Ruffus, there. He asks how things are with Lily and he says that they are fine. Rufus asks how Dan and Blaire are doing and Dan says that after the kiss, things are awkward between them. He tells Rufus that Lily is right about the jacket and says that it is not good. Blair and Serena sit down for breakfast and are arguing about Blair’s kiss with Dan. She says that it was a mistake. Dorota gets fed up with it and locks them inside the dinning room. They can’t believe that she did that and she says that they are not going out until they work things out.

Charlotte (Lola) sits down with Nate and thanks him. She says that she friended Charlotte (Ivy) but couldn’t get through to her. Nate sees that Charlotte (Lola) has Dan’s last book. She says that she and the Upright Citizen's Brigade are performing it. She says that Nate should tell Dan to come. Chuck comes in and says that Dan is on his way up. He is clearly unhappy about this meeting. He comes in and Chuck takes his things for him and being especially nice. However, he takes out Dan’s computer and opens it. Meanwhile, Blair and Serena are still arguing about Dan and Blair says that she is friends with Dan and not intimate. She says that she will spend the day with Dan and she will show Serena that they are not intimate. Dorota asks if everything is good. Blair tells her that she is going to see her friend, Dan, and nothing else.
Charlotte (Lola) asks to use Nate’s phone. She calls Charlotte (Ivy) and asks what she is doing. Charlotte (Lola) says that stealing someone’s identity is a felony. She lies and says that she got a call from her agent, but Nate sees that she called Charlotte (Ivy). Afterward, Charlotte (Ivy) calls Carol and asks why her daughter is calling her. Cee-Cee comes in and asks who she was talking to. Charlotte (Ivy) says that it is no one. Meanwhile, Chuck tells a courier to send an envelope to Dan’s agent. He tosses the letter for Dan in the trash. Charlotte (Ivy) calls a taxi. Cee-Cee’s nurse comes in and says that they need to get Cee-Cee to the hospital. She says that they need to call her family. Chuck comes into Alexandra’s office and says that he wants to do things that will take the whole afternoon. He convinces her to send off Dan’s proposal to Jonathan Karp without looking it. Meanwhile, Dan and Charlotte (Lola) get to the Upright Citizen's Brigade and Dan is excited to see what they do. Charlotte (Lola) is playing Claire in Dan’s book.
Nate calls Charlotte (Lola) and says that she is using him to get to her and wants to know why. He says that they need to talk. Blair comes in and says that she looked Dan on “Spotted At” on Gossip Girl. She says that they are friends and asks Charlotte (Lola) to take their picture. Meanwhile, Carol has tea with Lily and Serena. Carol asks if Charlotte is doing alright and they tell her that she is great. They tell Carol that Nate is dating a girl named Lola. Serena gets a picture of Blair and Dan having fun and excuses herself. Lily asks what is really going on with Carol, but gets a call about Cee-Cee’s admission to the hospital. Charlotte (Ivy) tries to leave but Cee-Cee asks her to come with her to the hospital. She promises that she will be there. However, Charlotte (Ivy) finds out that they are not going to the Hamptons.
Back at the Upright Citizen's Brigade, Blair asks if Dan needs comfort and he ignores her attempting “friendship”. Charlotte (Lola) asks about the Claire and Dylan kiss and she says that she would never kiss Dylan passionately and demonstrates. However, Dan kisses her back and Serena sees them. Nate comes up and asks why Serena stormed out. Blair comes out and Serena says that she is done with trying to be friends. Serena gets the news about her grandmother being in the hospital. Chuck and Alexandra get done with their “meeting” and she sees that she has missed calls from Jonathan Karp. However, when she calls him, he tells her that the proposal that Dan sent is a plagiarism of another book. Chuck says that he has to go and smiles as he leaves.

Blair gets back into the Upright Citizen's Brigade and Dan says that if she doesn’t want him, then he doesn’t want to be around her. Nate asks Charlotte (Lola) what is going on when they get an update from Gossip Girl saying that Charlotte Rhodes is entering the hospital. Charlotte (Lola) says that she has to go and Conner asks who they are going to get to play Claire. He asks Blair to do it and she smiles. Cee-Cee arrives at the hospital and the nurse says that they feel that she has a blood clot. Lily is confused and Serena asks what Charlotte (Ivy) is there and the nurse says that Charlotte (Ivy) has been with Cee-Cee. Carol is confused and tells Charlotte (Ivy) that this isn’t over. Alexandra goes to see Dan and says that his new book is a plagiarism from a book that was published by Jonathan Karp. She says that she didn’t technically read the book and says that the publisher is thinking of dropping them if he doesn’t clear this up. He says that this is a mistake.
Carol comes up to Charlotte (Ivy) and says that she was supposed to disappear months ago. She says that she can’t leave because she promised Cee-Cee that she would stay. Dan doesn’t find his book proposal and sees that it is gone. Dan realizes that Chuck is the one who is messing with him. Meanwhile, the Upright Citizen's Brigade is performing excerpts from Dan’s book “Inside” and Blair is playing the role of Claire, which is actually her. She realizes as the actress says the lines from the book that Dan really loves her and sees that she has feelings for him as well. Rufus comes up to Lily at the hospital and Lily says that Cee-Cee’s cancer came back. Charlotte (Lola) comes in and the truth comes out and Charlotte says that the imposter is Ivy Dickens. They realize that what Max told them was true. Ivy says that Carol paid her to get to Charlotte’s Trust Fund. Meanwhile, Dan goes up to Chuck and says that he knows that he switched the proposals and says that Dan will be tainted and says that he can’t compete against him. Dan says that he must be winning with Blair and he says that he has better things to do.
Serena goes up to Ivy and she confesses to Serena that she cares about them. However, Serena says that she needs to leave or they will call the cops. Charlotte is leaving and Carol says that that she loves her, but wanted to protect her. However, Charlotte says that she doesn’t want anything to do with her. Blair gets to the hospital and Dan is there. She says that she feels bad about Serena knows that she has feelings for Dan. She says that she does have feeling for him and asks how it could happen. Serena comes up and Blair admits her feelings for Dan and says that she comes first though. However, Serena says that she won’t stand in the way of her and Dan. Charlotte comes out and Serena says that they are cousins and says that she would love to get to know her. However, she says that she isn’t interested. Blair is confused and Serena says that there is a lot going on.

Blair calls Chuck and tells him that he needs to stop hurting Dan and that he has only been a friend of Chuck. She tells him that whatever happens, he shouldn’t punish him. Chuck calls Alexandra and tells her that he has sent her something. It is Dan’s proposal. Charlotte comes out of the hospital and asks to stay with Nate. He agrees. Dan tells Blair that Chuck sent over his proposal and says that he is going to go. She says that she will stay with Serena and she kisses Dan. Serena is clearly upset. Chuck gets a message from Gossip Girl. It is a forwarded email from Dan to Gossip Girl. It is a video of Blair in full wedding ensemble declaring her love to Chuck. He is upset. The doctor comes out and says that the family needs to say their goodbyes. The family goes in and holds Cee-Cee’s hand as she dies. The episode ends with Ivy getting out Georgina’s (Gossip Girl) number.
