Greg the Bunny follows the story of a rabbit puppet, or Fabricated American as they prefer to be called, named Greg. By luck he becomes the star of the children's show “Sweetknuckle Junction.”
Jimmy (Seth Green) is Greg's longtime roommate whose father (Eugene Levy) also happens to be the director of "Sweetknuckle Junction." The cast of "Sweetknuckle" includes Warren the Ape, who thinks he's too good of an actor to star in a children’s show and can’t wait till he gets his big break. Count Blah, a vampire who ends all his sentences with the word "blah", as well as Dottie Sunshine (Dina Waters) and "Junction" Jack Mars (Bob Gunton). Lastly, Alison (Sara Silverman) is the hated network executive.
Greg the Bunny began as Junktape, a half-hour show that aired on New York City's Manhattan Neighborhood Network. The Independent Film Channel noticed the show and give Greg his own series in which he would, along with other characters, introduce independent films by making parodies of them. After getting picked up for a series by FOX in March 2002, only to be canceled later that August, Greg found his way back to the Independent Film Channel 3 years later making film parodies along with his old friends.
