Episode Quotes

Alison: Look who's here everybody. This is Laura Carlson from TV Guide.
(everyone says 'hello')
Jimmy: Oh wow. I hope she's as easy as their crossword puzzles.
Greg: No kidding. I would like to see a magician try to pull me out of her.

Warren: Oh good God. This isn't going to be like the time you threw me a party and then cleaned out my liquor cabinet, is it?
Alison: That wasn't a party; that was an intervention.

Dottie: Actually Laura, I studied Astronomy in college. In fact, I graduated with a perfect GPA, where as the only 4.0 Warren ever got was on a breathalyzer test.

Cultural References

Jimmy: I really loved that article you wrote about Elmo's battle with depression.

Elmo is the furry red puppet from Sesame Street, who has a famous stuffed child's toy called 'Tickle Me Elmo.'

Warren: Oh yes, if by professional you mean stealing his entire act from a Sesame Street character.

Warren is referring to 'The Count', from Sesame Street.. The Count is a vampire, like Count Blah, modeled after the famous actor Béla Lugosi, in his role as Count Dracula.
