Nick comes to see Juliette, who only remembers him as the policeman who brought her to the hospital. She thanks him as Nick offers her flowers. When Juliette wonders what they're for, he shows her some pictures on is laptop of the two of them together. As he brings up the photos, Nick asks how she got a cat scratch but Juliette says she doesn't know. She studies the photos and admits that it looks like they knew each other pretty well. Juliette remembers everything else except Nick and he points out a photo of the two of them at their friend's house, kissing. She remembers the friends but not Nick, and asks if they were sleeping together. Nick tells her that they were living together for three years and Juliette says that she doesn't know what to say. She asks to keep the laptop and then claims that she's tired. Nick starts to take her hand but Juliette pulls back and he goes.

Carly is at home undressing when she sees the coyotl in her room, while a second one grabs her from behind.

Nick talks to Juliette's doctor, Saliman, who admits that he can't account for how she remembers so many things but not Nick. The doctor says that they will have to run more tests and suggests that Nick be patient and help Juliette remember.

In her room, Juliette looks at the photos, crying, and wonders why she can't remember Nick.

The two coyotls take Carly out to a farm in the woods and lower her into an old well while their leader, Hayden Walker, watches.

Hank meets with a counselor, Dr. Hodgkins, and admits that he's having anxiety and sleeping problems for a few weeks. He explains that he's jumpy and on edge, and that a lot of strange stuff has been going on. When the counselor asks for details, Hank admits that it's hard to explain. He doesn't tell her about encountering a blutbad in the woods, but describes shooting Brinkerhof at a theater and seeing him change afterward. When the counselor pushes him for details, Hank grabs her and shoves her back, temporarily losing control. She says that they need to continue talking but Hank tells her that he has to go back to work and leaves.

Nick takes Eddie to the hospital and suggests that Juliette seeing him might jar her memories. Juliette recognizes him immediately, much to Eddie's surprise, and remembers that he saved her life. Eddie points out that Nick also saved her life and then talks to her about the dinner she held. Juliette doesn't remember that Nick was there, and Nick leaves to let them catch up. Eddie tries to make small talk but Juliette asks him how he knows Nick.

The coyotls pull Carly up and Hayden asks if she remembers him. He reminds her that Jarold brought shame on them when he took Carly and his wife away, and they plan to bring her back into the pack.

Nick gives Renard a report on Catherine's murder and admits that she was in some kind of cash business. They found herbs and mirrors in the house and they're checking for controlled substances. Nick tells Renard that Adalind was Catherine's daughter but that she disappeared the same time that Catherine was murdered. They agree that they should find Adalind and Nick goes to his desk as Hank comes in. He points out that Hank doesn't sound well, but Hank admits that maybe the job is getting to him and he lost it with the therapist. Nick assures him that he's a good cop but Hank considers resigning. At that, Nick says that the two of them need to talk about some of the things that have been going on.

Jarold arrives at the station and Hank greets his high school friend. He says that something may have happened to Carly and Hank pulls up a seat for him. Jarold explains that Carly missed a meeting with her counselor that morning and he went home and found her cell phone there. They haven't received any threats and Jarold checked with all of her friends. As they talk, Nick sees Jarold in his coyotl form and asks if there is anyone who bears him a grudge. Hank promises that they will find Carly and Nick goes to run some predators.

Nick meets Eddie at the trailer and they look up the information on the coyotls. Eddie describes them as the street punks of the wesen world and explains that if someone leaves the pack, it's a serious breach. There are entries about fertility symbols and Eddie explains that coyotls introduce females to the pack by bring them into a ceremonial circle and conducting a ritual consummation after a feast. The female participates in the asveracion ceremony when she turns 17, and it takes place under the full moon. As Nick starts to go, Eddie point out that Juliette doesn't remember Nick and wonders if that was Adalind's plan all along.

At the station, Jarold tells Hank that nobody has it in for his daughter. Nick returns and talks to Jarold privately when Hank goes to get some coffee. The detective explains that he's a Grimm and that he knows about the consummation ceremony. Jarold confirms that Hank doesn't know about wesen or Grimms and Nick asks if the coyotl are involved with Carly's disappearance. The coyotl remembers that Lisa's family from Texas was angry ten years ago when Jarold left with is family. When Hank comes back, Jarold gives him the name of his brother-in-law, Hayden, and Hank confirms that he's moved to Portland recently and already has a minor criminal record.

The detectives drive to the garage where Hayden works and have Jarold wait in the car. The owner says that Hayden has been gone for two days, while one of the mechanics, a coyotl, overhears them talking. The detectives get Hayden's address and go back to the car, and Hank tells Jarold that they're going to take it slowly. They go to Hayden's apartment and find rotting dog organs in the tub and the sink. Hank finds a deed for a foreclosed farm as he looks around.

At the farm, one of the coytols, Kyle, checks on Carly and cuts open her blouse. Kyle and his brother Todd then pump water into a tub and clean her for the ceremony.

Hank and Nick go back to the car and tell Jarold what they found. Jarold insists on going with them and Nick agrees, and Hank reluctantly gives in.

The coyotls give Carly a plain white robe and tell her to put it on. They take her to the ceremonial circle and say that her mother Lisa went through it as well. Hayden and the others tie her up and prepare for the ceremony. Meanwhile, the coyotl from the garage arrives and tells Hayden that the police are looking for him. Hayden assures the others that they'll finish it.

Hank refuses to tell Jarold what they found at the apartment, but Jarold says that rotting flesh on him. Jarold warns Hank that Hayden is dangerous but can't give him details without revealing what he is. They arrive at the farm and Jarold point out Hayden and his two sons, Todd and Kyle. The detectives approach Hayden and say that they're looking for his niece. Hayden feigns ignorance and Jarold storms over and demands answers. Nick and Hank order him back but Jarold runs into the barn looking for Carly. Hank goes after him and they find the ceremonial circle.

Jarold runs around yelling for his daughter while Hank notices a motorcycle from the garage. He goes back and tells Nick, and Nick notices the rope into the well that Carly is suspended from. Jarold lunges at Hayden and the other coyotls restrain him. They open fire on Nick and Hank but Hayden tells them to stop before they hit the girl.

Nick and Hank get Carly into the barn and she realizes Nick is a Grimm. She begs him not to kill him, and she loses control and changes. Hank draws his gun and says that she's a monster, and Nick tells him that he's seeing the same thing that Hank is seeing his partner isn't crazy. Nick convinces him that he's the same girl no matter what and Hank calms down.

The coyotls tie up Jarold and Hayden says that they'll get rid of the cops and take care of him later.

Hank figures that Nick is crazy, but the Grimm insists that his partner has to believe him. Carly apologizes and explains that Nick is a Grimm, and Nick says that he'll explain later and asks Hank to trust him. Hayden calls out and asks to come in and work things out. Carly warns that he's lying, and Hayden tells them that Jarold will die if anything happens to him. Nick figures that Hayden believes that he can take them but they have the element of surprise because Hayden doesn't know that Nick is a Grimm. Hank says that he's ready and they invite Hayden in.

The coyotl leader enters the barn and assures them that he's not armed. The detectives place him under arrest but Hayden tells them that they have no idea what they're dealing with. He transforms and lunges at Hank, who knocks him down. Carly tells Hayden that Nick is a Grimm and the coyotl warns that the others will kill them. Unimpressed, Nick picks up a board and then has Carly start screaming. The coyotls hear and race toward the barn as Carly runs out, screaming that Hayden is killing the others. Jarold takes advantage of Kyle's distraction, transforms, and attacks him.

The coyotls run in and Nick and Hank get the drop on them. When they realize that they're dealing with a Grimm, they surrender.

Kyle defeats Jarold but Carly knocks him out from behind with a pipe. Her father embraces her as they're reunited.

Later, Carly gives her statement and Hank admits that he's not sure how to file the report when he can't write what he knows really happened. Jarold says that what matters is that he saved Carly's life, and that he would have told him the truth if he could have. Hank assures him that nothing has changed and is glad that they came to him. After they leave, Nick comes over and Hank assures him that it's been one of the better days of his life since he knows that even if he's crazy, he's not alone. The hospital calls Nick and Dr. Saliman tells him that Juliette is ready to be discharged.

Nick picks Juliette up at the hospital and takes her to their home. He tells her that it's their house no matter what she remembers and figures that things will start to come back to her now that she's in familiar surroundings. Juliette agrees with him and notices a broken window. Nick dismisses it as a bird and Juliette goes to bed... alone.
