Grosse Pointe

Grosse Pointe

WB's sitcom Grosse Pointe is a show about what happens behind-the-scenes of the WB drama Grosse Pointe. It is a parody of teen soaps like Beverly Hills, 90210, which creator Darren Star also created. The crew of the show-within-the-show includes Rob, the executive producer, Dave, Johnny's stand-in, and Kevin, the production assistant. The actors Hunter, Quentin, Marcy, and Johnny have been acting in Grosse Pointe (the drama) for three years when Courtney joins the cast in the pilot (of the sitcom).

Episode Info

Final: 1x17 -- My Best Friend's Wedding (Feb/18/2001)

Hunter shocks everyone with her announcement that after a couple of hours of knowing someone, they are getting married. She hires Elizabeth Berkeley to be a celebrity bridesmaid, with Marcy as maid of honor. To help out Dave in getting a part on the show, Kevin "forgets" to give a guest star a wake-up call, and Dave gets to fill in for the part, which is as a love interest for Kim, including a kiss with Marcy.
