  Episode Notes
Their dog "Merv" is only in the pilot of the show.

The show was originally pitched with the title "Don't Get Me Started". However, when no one was happy with that name, network and production company executives began to pitch new titles. Suggestions included "The Young Parent Show" and "Egg, Sperm - Now This" before settling on "Grounded For Life".

This marks the most-watched episode in the series run.

This episode marks the only appearance of Floyd Van Buskirk as Mr. O'Keefe before his role was recast.

Walt: Let's make sure we're all on the same page here. There will be spankings.
Jimmy: What if we don't do anything to deserve a spanking?
Walt: No, there will be spankings.

Lily: Dad, would you mind not watching porno while we're studying?
