Jimmy has an important school project to finish, Meanwhile Sean hears that his favorite band "The Ramones" are giving a farewell concert the same night. He wants to make it a family trip. Because of the concert Jimmy can't finish his homework so Sean writes a note to the teacher to explain why he couldn't finish his homework, but the teacher doesn't agree and the situation gets out of hand.

A lot of references are made about how The Ramones are over the hill and Lily even says that she was afraid "they were going to die" onstage. Ironically, lead singer Joey Ramone died in March, less than two months after this episode premiered.
| After the death of Joey Ramone, some of Lily's dialogue in this episode was changed for subsequent reruns. Lily's line where she said that she said she thought The Ramones were going to die was actually changed to "They were no Green Day" because it matched up with the lip movements.
