|
When Maggie decides to pursue her career in journalism and goes back to work, Jason moves his practice to the house so that he can watch the kids. It's not long before he realizes how difficult it's going to be when he learns that his son, Mike has been picked up by the police for underage driving.

| The original version of the pilot featured a different girl, Elizabeth Ward, cast as the role of Carol Seaver. After a negative network response, as well as a bad response from test audiences, the producers were forced to recast the role of Carol to someone who fit in with the family. They called back Tracey Gold, who did not get the role the first time, and this time around she ended up getting her breakthrough role.
