  Episode Notes
In somewhat of a crossover, Mike makes a phone call to Coach Lubock (Bill Kirchenbauer) who was last seen in season 3, before he went on to star in the spin-off, Just the Ten of Us.

Kirk Cameron, who found religion during the hiatus before the start of the season, demanded that Julie McCullough, who played the role of Julie Costello, be fired because of her posing in Playboy magazine, which is the reason for her abrupt departure. However, she would later return for an episode titled Mike, Kate and Julie to give the storyline some closure, after this move left many fans enraged.

Member of the family to stay behind at the end of the opening credits: Mike
