Danny and Michelle tell Rick about Harley’s involvement in planting a bug in their house. They warn him that Gus is going to be asking around about Carmen’s death. Harley visits Michelle, Danny and Rick to try and explain how hard it has been to be both a detective and a friend. Then privately, she expresses how much she hopes that she hasn’t ruined her friendship with Rick. He assures her that despite everything their friendship is still intact. A relieved Harley reveals to Rick that she is pregnant. Rick doesn’t think he will be able to keep this from Phillip, but she insists that he must. Sam, Reva, Josh, Ross and Blake help prepare for Marah’s birthday party. Tony arrives and there is tension between he and Sam. Marah opens her presents and Tony feels second best. Sam’s gift, a masseuse, arrives and Tony becomes uncomfortable with how much Marah enjoys her massage. He steps in to stop it from going any further and accidentally knocks over a candle which starts a fire. Blake pours punch on the flames and smoke fills the room. In San Cristobel, Beth accepts Edmund’s marriage proposal and agrees to be his wife. Susan offers her congratulations. Lillian and Phillip approach Beth to try and talk some sense into her. Phillip insists that there is no way that he will allow Edmund to have any part in raising his children. Meanwhile, Noah tells Richard and Cassie that they have to get moving so they don’t miss the connection to the seaplane. Phillip gets a phone call saying that it is time for the escape to take place. Edmund, who has tracked Phillip’s phone, learns about the plans and the seaplane. Edmund orders fighter jets to intercept the plane and since Cassie and Richard are already waiting on the beach, Phillip cannot warn them. Edmund makes an excuse and leaves Beth to deal with Richard and Cassie.
