Alan recommends that Claire get an attorney if she can’t confide in him. Claire calls Ross and starts to explain her dilemma when he interrupts her, and says that he cannot represent her. Since Ross is representing Danny and Michelle it would be a conflict of interest to also represent Claire. Seeing her distraught, Alan offers one of his attorneys to help her out. Meanwhile, Harley goes to meet with her doctor to get a sonogram of her baby. Rick asks Harley about her appointment and she tells him to mind his own business. Rick speaks with Harley's doctor and is emotionally overcome when he examines the sonogram. In San Cristobel, Beth meets with the US Consul and tells him that Richard shot Edmund, which resulted in his stroke. She makes an ally out of the US Consul and worries when she learns that the press is waiting for a statement from her. Beth agrees to meet with one of the reporters. When she does the reporter asks if Edmund’s disappearance has anything to do with the missing Cassie. Beth paints the picture of Edmund as the unexpected hero and tries to portray Richard and Cassie in a negative light. Beth assures Edmund that they can get through anything together. Cassie continues to try and escape her shackles, but grows concerned that Edmund has left her to die. Richard, Noah and Phillip are interrupted while planning Cassie’s rescue by Beth's news conference. Richard grows more and more concerned about Cassie.
