Guiding Light: Friday April 16, 1999

Buzz wants to talk to Selena about their kiss, but she avoids the conversation. He admits he's attracted to her, but can't do anything about it. She acknowledges that she could fall in love with Buzz, but they both realize it's not possible. They pretend to each other that the subject is resolved. At the loft, Drew tells Jesse how hopeful she is that she'll find relatives of Dorothy who'll become her family. Jesse observes how happy she is, and how beautiful she looks. They wind up kissing each other, but Drew pulls away, claiming it's a mistake -- what about Michelle? She hurries out, and Jesse cancels his moving plans. Drew heads to Dorothy's gravesite and talks about her love for Jesse. To her surprise, Max arrives and tells her that Dorothy is his mother, too. Pilar lies to Bill about who she is, and presses him to tell her what he knows about Danny. Bill describes how Michelle was forced to marry Danny in order to prevent Carmen from having her killed. He refers to the Santoses as a family of killers. Pilar is devastated, and Bill is surprised by her reaction. Danny finds them together and orders Bill to get his hands off his sister. Fletcher tells Holly that the woman in the picture is Meg's teacher, Kate. He admits that he got close to Kate when he thought Holly was with Roger. Hurt, Holly blasts him for not telling her the truth. Fletcher apologizes and says he still has feelings for Holly. When Fletcher's attention is distracted, Holly disappears with Meg. Ben and Carmen celebrate their new partnership and Danny's release. Carmen tells Ben that Blake isn't right for him, and that Carmen and Ben are kindred spirits. Ben proclaims that he and Blake understand each other -- Blake understands his dark side but maintains hope for the good in him. Blake insists to Cassie that her relationship with Ben is over. Cassie says changing the locks isn't enough, if Blake doesn't change the way she feels for Ben. After Cassie leaves, Blake calls the school to make sure Ben can't pick up the children anymore. Ben arrives and finds the locks have been changed. He asks Blake to let him in. Blake refuses, asserting that they are through. Furious and frustrated, Ben breaks down the door.
