Guiding Light: Friday April 23, 1999

Marah notices Reva's ring, but Reva objects when Marah assumes it belongs to Reva. Reva's pregnancy test is negative, and she talks with Marah about Josh and Reva's hopes for a new baby. Marah's worried about Reva's post-partum depression, and fears that Reva will leave them again. Reva reassures Marah that this won't happen. Later, Reva dreams of rocking a baby in her arms while wearing the mysterious ring. A figure appears, distracting her, and she discovers the baby is gone. Reva awakens, terrified. Fletcher joins Holly for a therapy session, and Holly angrily recalls how she felt when he took Meg. She damns him for the pain he caused, and forces him to admit he trusts Kate more than Holly. Fletcher tries to convince her that he cares for her, that he's not staying out of guilt. He and the doctor leave, and Holly is stunned when Kate arrives! Harley agrees to allow Susan to invite Max to her birthday party. She then chats with David, who returns files from their detective business. He admits he still wants Vicky. Susan, meanwhile, is teased by Max, who says she's immature. Susan tells him she's having her party at Millennium, and guesses that Max is mean to her because he likes her. Harley sees Max and disapproves of him. Later, she tells Susan that Max can't attend the party after all. Thanks to Bill, Pilar gets a job at Millennium as a waitress, but she struggles on her first day. Bill compliments her on her hard work. Pilar asks him if she can stay with him another night, until she can move into a different room at the boarding house. He agrees. Later, Bill is accosted by Carmen's henchman, who cautions him against seeing Pilar. The thug beats Bill up, telling him there won't be a second warning. Max clashes with Jesse, who doesn't trust him, and has been checking up with Max's foster parents. Drew overhears Jesse lambasting Max, but Jesse explains that he doesn't want Drew to get hurt. Drew agrees to be more patient. Alone, Jesse and Drew profess their love for one another. They kiss and he carries her to bed, where they make love. Michelle insists to Danny that she wants to continue with the marriage, and even tears up the annulment papers. But Danny purposely acts cruel: he describes the family legacy of deceit and crime, and claims that he only feels lust for Michelle. He describes how she'd be destroyed by his way of life, and wonders how she'd feel if he brought their children into the family business. Devastated, Michelle leaves, telling him to send her new annulment papers. Later, Michelle is shocked when she discovers Jesse and Drew in bed!
