Guiding Light: Thursday June 10, 1999

Michelle and Danny prepare for their secret wedding ceremony after Ray's ordination later this afternoon. Danny asks Rick for Michelle's hand in marriage, promising to take care of her. Michelle shares Abigail's joy at the success of her operation. Carmen admits to Ben that she's determined to keep the Santoses in the crime business because of the vow she made to her dying husband. She decides to meet secretly with her rivals after Ray's ordination ceremony to announce that she's still in business. Dietz, meanwhile, plots with Nino to kill off the Santos family. As everyone arrives at the church for Ray's mass, it's revealed that Dietz and Nino have planted a bomb. Susan exposes Beth's lie about her tennis abilities to Jim. Jim privately takes Susan to task for embarrassing Beth like that. Max tries to get Susan to understand that Jim deserves to date again, but Susan remains loyal to her late mom. Beth tries to explain her lies to Jim, but only comes off sounding worse. She's certain she's blown this new relationship, and calls her mother to vent. But Jim returns, clearly having forgiven her, and they share another romantic moment. Holly, Ross and Blake arrive for the hearing to see if Holly can be granted an early release. The judge seems adversarial and things look grim. To their surprise, the judge grants a conditional release. Privately, Ross learns that Ben had something on the judge, and used it to secure Holly's release. Ross is amazed that his brother would do something this selfless.
