Guiding Light: Wednesday June 23, 1999

Michelle yells at Rick for not respecting her choices. She vows she'll never see Rick again once Danny gets her released. Rick tries to defend himself to no avail. Dr. Bradford visits Michelle and grows concerned when Michelle claims Carmen has made attempts on her life. Rick allows Danny to visit Michelle as long as Abigail stays to chaperone them. Michelle and Danny profess their love, and Abigail is greatly affected. She tells Rick that if he continues to separate Danny and Michelle, he risks a great deal...including Michelle's love. Ben invites Ross to join his team as head of the Sancorp legal department, but Ross doesn't trust the company's legitimacy. Ben is shocked to learn Ross and Blake are divorced. Ross asks Ben to care enough about Blake to allow her time to find her independence. Susan explains her undressed state to Jim, saying she was emulating Beth. Max defends Susan but reveals that she took sleeping pills. Jim's aghast to learn Susan tried to drug Beth, but blames Max for his bad influence. He asks Beth to call Drew. Drew and Jesse share a deeper understanding of each other as they make love. Later, they get the call from Beth regarding Max. They rush to meet Jim, who despite Beth's warnings, implies that Drew shouldn't be raising Max. He vows to call social services. Drew's terrified that the truth will come out about not being related to Max. Reva talks with Josh and, worried about her visions, questions her sanity. To their surprise, Marah returns early from her visit with Rusty in Tulsa. Marah apologizes and gives Reva a present: a bracelet inscribed with words that reminded her of Reva. Reva's happiness turns to concern when Marah reveals the reason she came home: the shopkeeper who sold her the bracelet made ominous predictions about Reva - and seemed to know all about Reva's ring. Reva hides her own concern.
