Guiding Light: Thursday July 6, 2000

After Danny accuses Claire of killing Carmen, Michelle reminds him of the gunshots. Danny replies that he believes it was Claire's injection that killed Carmen, not a bullet. Michelle continues to defend Claire and blasts Danny for his accusation. Later, Claire secretly destroys a syringe from her medical bag. Josh and Billy discuss Noah's mystery call. Josh decides to apologize to Noah, but he intentionally mentions his daughter in front of Reva. Noah assures Reva that the call was a practical joke from an old doctor friend of his. Reva buys the explanation and they move off to watch the fireworks. Drew comforts Susan about losing Max and gives her theater tickets for when she comes to visit them in New York. Phillip brings Lizzie a burger from the barbecue, but she won't eat. She says she's afraid something is wrong between her parents and step-parents since she never sees them together anymore. Phillip tries to allay her fears claiming that everyone is just busy catching up with work. Lillian urges Beth to prepare in case Jim does not return to her. An angry Beth insists that Jim will come back. Lillian suggests to Beth that she might still have feelings for Phillip. Later, Beth invites both Jim and Phillip to dinner.
