Guiding Light: Wednesday July 26, 2000

Susan awakens in Max's arms. Max presses Susan to be intimate with him, but Susan refuses. An understanding Max professes his love for the first time. An overjoyed Susan thinks she can convince Drew to let her stay with them. Later, Selena finds them and calls Buzz and Jim. Jim arrives and insists on taking a resistant Susan home, but she threatens to run away again. Meanwhile, Selena and Drew say goodbye. While enjoying their second honeymoon, Danny and Michelle agree to try for another child. They are surprised when they find Claire has prepared brunch for them. Danny confronts Claire and tells her that he still thinks she's a murderer, but he's promised Michelle he won't accuse her anymore. Claire assures him that he will eventually realize that they just have a misunderstanding. Later, Danny secretly asks Bill to pick up the investigation via the Internet. Michelle reveals that her and Danny are planning to try for another child. Claire feigns support, but privately vows to stop Michelle from carrying Danny's child. Later, Claire makes a mysterious call to someone. Richard reveals to Cassie that his childhood dream of playing the lead in Antony and Cleopatra was denied by his father. Later, Richard returns to find Cassie dressed as Cleopatra and they reenact a scene from the play, fulfilling Richard's childhood dream.
