Guiding Light: Thursday July 27, 2000

Selena admits to Buzz that she was a little hurt that he didn't ask her to go to England with him. Buzz tries to make it up to her by proposing, but he can't find the ring! Selena finally finds it and gladly accepts Buzz's marriage proposal, as all of the customers cheer. Harley and Jim try to calm Susan after she returns, but Susan still insists that she won't live with Beth. Despite Jim's objections, Harley convinces him to allow Susan to live with her while Susan adjusts to Beth and Jim's reconciliation. Phillip meets with Ross and asks him to file a custody petition against Beth as a tactic to keep his children in town. A reluctant Ross asks Phillip if he's sure he wants to do this, but Phillip insists that he wants to keep his children. Ross agrees to file the petition, but tells Phillip that there is no going back on this decision. Harley overhears and predicts he'll never get her or the children. Olivia concocts a plan to have Josh think that he has lost an important business deal because Reva was out of town. Matt chastises Josh for hurting the company because he can't let go of Reva. A livid Josh calls Leo. On the plane back from Aruba, Noah calls Reva on her preoccupation with Josh. Reva dismisses this and tells him she'll start paying more attention to him as they begin to make love.
