Guiding Light: Monday October 9, 2000

After discovering that Woody suffered a fatal heart attack, Noah admits to Reva that he was a government agent recruited by Woody. Noah also tells her that there is indeed an illegal immigrant labor operation being run by “the mob” in Springfield. Reva is shocked to learn that the immigrants are shipped through San Cristobel. Marah arrives and Noah and Reva pretend that Woody is drunk as they attempt to move his body back to the hotel room. At the hotel, Noah and Reva run into Olivia and Josh. After noting Noah and Reva’s strange behavior, Olivia and Josh decide to follow the three of them. Harley decides to go to the party after all, but she becomes upset when she catches Phillip confiding his marital problems to Jim and Beth. Meanwhile, Susan and Billy get acquainted. Billy offers Susan a place to stay if she ever decides to run away again. Vicky intentionally embarrasses Ruth at the party and David observes their exchange. When one of the guests pinches Ruth and she reacts angrily, Vicky threatens to fire Ruth without pay. Later, Ruth slyly bumps another server and drinks spill all over Vicky. Blake is thrilled when Ross hands her a fax that says she’s been named novelist of the year.
