Guiding Light: Monday March 10, 2003

Phillip is conflicted after finding Olivia’s incriminating lipstick in the Spaulding study. Rick advises Phillip to get Olivia help immediately, before the baby is born. Meanwhile, after Alan demands rights as the father of her baby, Olivia drops the bomb and informs him that he may not be the father because she also slept with Phillip. Phillip arrives just as Alan is about to lose it. Alexandra warns Alan to calm down and pushes him to take a tranquilizer pill. Later, when Phillip confronts her, Olivia admits that she lied to him about the lipstick, but is hurt he doubts her. Olivia questions Phillip’s love and trust. After Phillip vows to stand by Olivia, she asks him to help her get back at Alan. In Germany, Harley and Gus arrive at the clinic where Roy Baker is staying. When they see Roy, they realize that he may be faking his vegetative state. Gus takes drastic action. He holds Roy halfway out the window, and threatens to drop him if he doesn’t start talking. Roy finally tells Gus that his father was Miguel Santos. On the way home, Gus admits to Harley that he thinks Roy is lying. Ben explains to Marina that he has a new night job, but he doesn’t know much about it. Meanwhile, we see his new employer, Eden, talking Ben up as an escort. Ben arrives for his meeting with Eden and she reveals that he will be an escort. Ben is torn, but ultimately swayed by the money Eden flashes in front of his face. At the same time, Marina is surprised to learn that Shayne is a major league baseball prospect. They playfully spar with each other and during pitching practice, bet that the loser buy tickets to opening day at Wrigley Field. Shayne fails on his first pitch, then ups the ante for the next throw. If he hits the target, Marina has to go with him to the game. This time, Shayne doesn’t miss.
