Gus brings Alan home to try and keep him calm and safe from his inner demons. The more time he spends with Alan, the more Gus begins to suspect that someone has been trying to hurt Alan. For Alan, being with Gus and Zach is a godsend. Away from the mansion and the medication, Alan starts to regain his hold on reality. Harley, in an effort to keep Gus out of Eden’s problems, leaves the hospital and goes undercover to unmask the abusive customer who roughed up one of Eden’s girls. Harley teaches the guy a lesson and wins Eden’s grudging respect. Harley heads home to surprise Gus. Danny concludes his business in New York believing he can keep his peaceful life in Springfield separate from his interactions with the mob. Michelle is totally convinced that she and Danny have no more secrets between them. When Danny comes home a day early, Michelle is thrilled and they spend a night of romance together. Spurred on by Edmund, Cassie faces her guilt regarding Richard’s death. All the anger and rage she previously hurled at Edmund and Reva she now turns on herself. But Edmund, who is falling in love with her, won’t let Cassie blame herself. For once in her life, Cassie finds herself grateful to Edmund and they achieve a cease-fire of sorts. Later, Cassie falls asleep; she receives an unexpected visitor in her dreams: Richard.
