Guiding Light: Friday July 2, 2004

It’s the annual Bauer BBQ. Danny is encouraged that Michelle’s memory is slowly returning, but Tony figures out that that Michelle is faking her memory’s return in an effort to reassure her friends and family. All seems to fall apart when Robbie surprisingly arrives and spots his mother before Danny can lead him away. Gus feels relieved that he convinced Darci to remain quiet about her knowledge of the Salerno/Spaulding connection. However, Frank can’t shake his suspicions that someone besides Brad Green was involved. Frank’s questions coincide with Harley’s own doubts. Gus works hard to get everyone to focus on the 4th of July celebration, and forget the cop talk. Later, Frank pops the question to Darci, who wants to talk to him about something before she responds. Jeffrey appears at the BBQ to say goodbye to the people of Springfield. Cassie has the chance to stop him by telling him about the identity theft, but chooses not to. However, Reva informs Jeffrey that someone is using Cassie’s ID to live the high life in Europe. Jeffrey then makes a cryptic phone call to someone unknown – putting that person on warning. Olivia packs up her files at Spaulding and prepares to strike out on her own. Similarly dismissed at Lewis Construction, Bill seeks her out. They bond over their similar disinterest in Bauer apple pie and fireworks. Olivia tells him how Phillip even has spies watching her every move. Later, she and Bill decide to provide their own fireworks as they end up in his apartment.
