Guiding Light: Monday July 12, 2004

Michelle and Danny begin to make love but Danny realizes Michelle is trying too hard, and he suggests they wait. Michelle pretends she’s okay with it but as soon as Danny leaves the room, she sneaks out, frustrated that she can’t truly connect with him. Danny panics when Michelle disappears and sets out to find her. Meanwhile, Michelle discovers Tony is at the Beacon and goes to his room to vent, interrupting his date with Sheryl, the nurse. Danny catches up with Michelle at the Beacon and they make amends. Gus freaks out when he learns that Frank is bringing Alexandra in for questioning. When Frank refuses to let Gus sit in, he sneaks into the police station and watches through the two-way mirror as Alexandra puts on an act to prove her innocence. After, Gus and Alexandra think they’re out of the woods but Frank isn’t letting Alex off the hook just yet. Alan reaches out to Harley, promising to make her a part of his family for real this time. Off his phone call with Dinah, Ross is uneasy around Jeffrey, who had brought her up earlier. Jeffrey is haunted by memories of a woman held captive, and is determined to “make this go away.” In Europe, Dinah continues to impersonate “Princess Cassie.” Cassie and Edmund try to mend fences between Tammy and Joey. Just when it seems that Tammy and Joey are moving toward reconciliation, an unfortunate mishap (unintentionally set into motion by Lizzie) reminds Joey that he will never be equal to Edmund in Tammy’s eyes. Joey asks Lizzie to the summer dance and Tammy is devastated.
