Cassie is almost struck when a plant falls from the balcony of the Beacon and neither she nor Jeffrey are ready to believe it was just an accident. Cassie thinks her imposter is still in Europe, but wonders if an accomplice has come to hurt her. Jeffrey vows to protect Cassie and her kids around the clock. Edmund is less than pleased to hear this. Later, Jeffrey tricks Ross into revealing Dinah’s whereabouts and goes after her. At the same time, Cassie reconnects with Edmund, and assures him that he remains her hero. Phillip returns from his vacation determined to put his grand plan for Springfield into motion. He lets Alan in it. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Frank returns without Darci. The Coopers rally together to get Frank reinstated and to turn their losses into a family victory. However, their resolve hits a roadblock when a letter is delivered to Buzz informing him that somebody wants Company. Olivia goes to Bill in hopes of reviving up their partnership. Bill tells her he would like to be her friend but any deeper relationship is not for him. Later, Bill has a heart to heart with Dinah and reconsiders. He and Olivia take the first tentative step toward a merger. Shayne has found his true calling and it isn’t baseball. He breaks the news to his parents and Marina that he intends to leave for Bosnia, supported by Ross and the city of Springfield, to establish a youth program in that war-ravaged area. Josh and Reva try to come to terms with this. Meanwhile, Marina breaks down, assuming this is all about Shayne’s desire to get away from her. She’s surprised when he asks her to come with him.
