Cassie and Edmund run into Jeffrey and she fires him from his duties acting as her bodyguard. She can’t stand by and watch what this does to Edmund. Edmund is a little suspicious when Jeffrey seems to go down without a fight. Later, Cassie and Jeffrey discuss their plan to keep Jeffrey involved, without Edmund’s knowledge. Unbeknownst to Cassie, Jeffrey tracks down Dinah at the farm. The passion between them flares up, but Dinah realizes she’s been betrayed when federal officers arrive at the house. Meanwhile, Edmund makes love with Cassie. But, when he awakes from a disturbing dream and sees Cassie on the phone, he assumes that she’s talking to Jeffrey. He lunges and angrily grabs the phone from her hand. Michelle gets wind of Ross’ opposition to her plans for the Lighthouse and returns to the house to discover it was Danny who put Ross in motion. Danny doesn’t deny it. Michelle insists she’s going to go ahead with her plans. Danny wants to sell the house to get them out of debt. Michelle is fine with that – she thinks it’s time for them to live apart. Harley admits to Gus that if they have a chance to reconcile, he’s going to have to reject the Spauldings completely by testifying against Alex, helping to defeat Phillip’s plans and never letting Alan around her family. But Gus can’t pretend to be something he’s not and he has to turn her down. Later, Gus informs Alan he’d like to return to Spaulding Enterprises while Harley and Bill firm up their partnership to beat the Spauldings.
