Guiding Light: Tuesday August 31, 2004

Edmund reels at the news that Jeffrey impersonated Richard. He grills Dinah who admits Jeffrey told her it was initially Richard’s idea, to have the feds help with drug dealers in his country. Dinah goes on to say that Jeffrey impersonated Richard and fell for his wife. Edmund thinks Dinah knows too much and realizes she’s the imposter, playing the Princess to Jeffrey’s Prince. She finally comes clean but insists that she was a pawn. Edmund is angry and accuses her of making up this whole scenario for her own purposes. Meanwhile, Jeffrey fakes a meeting with an imposter to give Cassie peace of mind. But later, they’re caught overnight in a D.C. hotel due to a storm and continue to grow closer. Edmund learns Cassie’s in D.C. He calls her hotel and is horrified to hear Jeffrey answer the phone. For a birthday surprise, Josh returns briefly and arranges for Hawk to visit Reva, who is overjoyed. When Hawk gets Josh alone, he alerts him that someone connected to Phillip Spaulding was in Cross Creek stirring up trouble. Meanwhile, Sandy researches an accident report on the real Jonathan. Tony thinks Michelle’s gotten her memory back but it’s a false alarm. He asks Rick about it and fears that if she remembers all that happened, he’ll lose her as a close friend.
