Phillip's paranoia about someone infiltrating Spaulding prompts him to order background checks on key employees, including his new assistant, Ruth. Phillip looks to Gus for help, but he refuses, insisting that Phillip can do his own dirty work. After speaking with Alan, Gus has a change of heart and decides it would be to his advantage to find the mole first. Later, Gus sets up an interview with Ruth. At the front gate of the Spaulding mansion, Coop tries to talk his way into the house, but Lizzie spots him and orders security to turn him away. A determined Coop returns driving a bulldozer and crashes through the gate. It's a near miss for Lizzie, as she barely gets out of his way. She's angry and tells Phillip that Coop almost killed her. Phillip would have Frank throw Coop in jail, but Ruth talks him into taking care of the issue himself. When Phillip does settle on the punishment, Coop is horrified to learn he will be working for Lizzie. Olivia is behind bars, awaiting her deportation hearing and ends up in a cell next to Alexandra's. Desperate, she and Alex make a pact to help each other get out, but when Alex calls Phillip to fulfill her part of the deal he hangs up on her. Bill arrives at the jail, still feeling guilty that his involvement with Harley got Olivia into trouble. In an attempt to keep Olivia and Emma together, Bill proposes that he and Olivia get married.
