Crushed by the news that Phillip has died from his gunshot wounds, Alan goes into denial but soon starts looking for someone to blame. He accuses Olivia of murdering Phillip. When Lizzie shows up, Alan pulls back. Olivia insists that solving Phillip’s murder should come second to finding the missing children. At Company, Gus discovers a dazed and disoriented Harley, who only seems to remember an angry confrontation with Phillip and a gun. She also has blood on her hands and Gus realizes that she’s sustained a wound to her scalp during a scuffle with Phillip, and it’s unclear if the blood is hers or his. Later, Gus tries to get Harley to promise she won’t say a word about her encounter with Phillip but when she learns Phillip has died, she nearly comes clean with Frank. Meanwhile, thanks to Gus’s efforts, all the children are reunited with their parents and Harley is left with the horrible task of telling Zach his father is dead. Following her fainting spell, Edmund insists Cassie get checked out by a doctor. Jeffrey watches them as they walk away and Dinah ribs him over his concern. Later, Edmund gets a shock when the doctor informs him Cassie had a miscarriage after being pregnant for two weeks. In an emotional moment, Cassie and Edmund resolve to put the differences of the last few weeks behind them. Meanwhile, as Jeffrey receives information about the miscarriage, Dinah watches him closely and warns him that he won’t be able to deny his feelings for Cassie much longer.
