Guiding Light: Thursday January 6, 2005

Edmund learns that Cassie has run off but he tries to hold out the hope that she will return. Meanwhile, Cassie has wandered into the park where Jeffrey finds her. He tries to help her and she admits she’s made a terrible mistake and can’t marry Edmund. Jeffrey argues that Edmund will love her no matter what but Cassie is uncertain. Back at the barn, Bill catches Dinah and she admits that she’s in love with Edmund. Bill pleads with her to realize that his heart belongs to someone else. Bill believes he’s gotten through to her, but Dinah goes to see Edmund. He blames himself for Cassie leaving and sends Dinah away. Later, when Edmund finally accepts that Cassie is not coming to their wedding, she arrives and asks if Edmund still wants to marry her. Reva comes to see Jonathan to find out if he knows anything about Cassie’s disappearance. She believes him when he says he doesn’t, but he’s glad he’s here for her. When Reva is moved to tears, Josh arrives and assumes that Jonathan has once again caused Reva grief. Gus gets another bail hearing for Harley who doesn’t believe it will work. Alan arrives to keep Harley from getting bail but Gus is able to convince the judge to grant it. Alan is furious with Gus but Harley is grateful and agrees to trust Gus enough to let him try to clear her. Bill and Olivia are both questioned by an inquisitive stranger and start to get the feeling something is up.
