Guiding Light: Thursday February 3, 2005

Olivia goes to Alan to pitch herself as the new head of Spaulding. She argues that Spaulding needs someone as ruthless and ambitious as Alan himself and Olivia fits that bill. Alan laughs at the idea but Olivia is persuasive and he begins to realize it might work, as long as Bill is kept out of the equation. Meanwhile, Josh is urging Bill to come back to Lewis Construction, but Bill remains loyal to Olivia. Later, Bill and Olivia resolve to remain a team and take down Spaulding. Jonathan presents Reva with a surprise gift – a sports car to replace her old, tired mini-van. Reva responds to Jonathan’s generosity and his efforts to re-awaken her wild side. But Jonathan’s not pleased when Josh and Reva head off on a test drive. Meanwhile, Dinah tries to get her hands on some fertility drugs when she is caught by Corey. She uses her feminine wiles to try to nab the key to the medicine cabinet, but she strikes out and goes to the bar to drown her sorrows with Jonathan. Dinah rails at Jonathan for not blowing Cassie out of the water, but Jonathan reiterates his promise to Reva to keep quiet. Later, Dinah peeks Jonathan’s interest when she tells him that she has dirt on Edmund and writes the word fire on his cast. After, Jonathan encourages Reva to sing karaoke but when a heckler gives Reva a hard time, Jonathan reacts and a bar room brawl ensues. Meanwhile, Josh learns about Reva and Jonathan’s brush with the law. Edmund and Cassie prepare to begin the in vitro. Edmund does his best to make the process as romantic as possible. However, an unexpected delivery of flowers freaks Cassie out and brings out Edmund’s jealousy. Later, when they realize Tammy sent the flowers, they make a vow to stop assuming the worst of each other. They set out to make their baby – as Dinah looks on, helplessly, from the window.
