The night before Harley’s trial, the Coopers gather at Company to show their support. Coop is in charge of making sure Lizzie doesn’t interfere. When she shows up, Coop takes her to the Spaulding potting shed and locks her in, unaware of the history the place holds for her. She has a panic attack, and later, he finds her shaky and bleeding from an attempt to escape. Meanwhile, everyone in Company try to be positive. Harley gathers her children together to prepare them for the worst but gets a surprise when it turns out they’ve made up a story for her, complete with a happy ending about their family. Meanwhile, Gus has another run-in with Alan, who has realized Gus is losing faith in Harley’s innocence. Alan once again tries to make Gus realize what a pointless endeavor it is to clear Harley but Gus refuses to give into him. Later, Gus runs into Alex, who is surprisingly supportive, and offers him a string of pearls to help mount a strong defense for Harley. Later, an emotional Harley winds up at the empty lot where Gus had planned to rebuild her home, as Gus watches her from a distance. Josh kidnaps Jonathan and brings him to the gym to begin rehab, both for his leg and his soul. But, when Josh is finally close to getting Jonathan to open up about the demons that haunt him, Reva arrives and puts an end to the session. When Reva and Josh begin to argue, Josh realizes that because Reva blames herself for Jonathan’s hard childhood, she won’t trust anyone else with Jonathan again – even Josh. Alan threatens Jeffrey not to blow his prosecution of Harley. Jeffrey is in no mood for Alan’s lip and has him arrested for threatening an Officer of the Court.
