Guiding Light: Friday April 29, 2005

Cassie receives a note from San Cristobel, notifying her that Alonzo wants Will to return and begin his royal training. She is heartbroken at the thought of losing Will and turns to Jeffrey for help. Meanwhile, Edmund is at the airport, about to board the plane when Ross arrives, ready to personally escort him onboard and away from his daughter. But Dinah has already snuck onto the plane, and is waiting for Edmund. Just as Edmund is about to board, he receives a phone call from Cassie, telling him she needs him. Thrilled, he goes home to her. Cassie begins to think that Edmund might better serve the situation from San Cristobel, and Edmund realizes he must show Cassie she needs him close. Later, Edmund encourages Alonzo to take Will, hoping this battle will bring Cassie and Edmund closer together. Buzz tells Harley that Gus has disappeared. Panicked and worried that the same person who killed Phillip may now be after Gus, Harley realizes she has to get out of the prison, if only for a day, to help him. Buzz reminds her how impossible that is, but Harley gets an idea. She gets Mallet alone in his office, ready to do anything necessary to get out of the prison and find Gus. Meanwhile, Gus’s situation worsens when he refuses to accept water from his captor. The voice demands again that Gus accept Harley as the murderer and turns the heat up full blast to prove the point. Michelle and Danny begin to plan Tony’s funeral. Danny wants to know what is going to happen next between them but their conversation is interrupted by questioning from Jeffrey and Frank. Marina asks Frank to back off, just for now and Danny is grateful. Later, Marina braces for Danny’s breakup speech but he takes her in his arms and thanks her for her support as Michelle watches from a distance.
