Harley kisses Mallet, but quickly pulls back, reminding him she’s in love with Gus. Mallet’s determined to see her to safety but time is running out when the SWAT team closes in. Fearing the worst, Harley makes emotional phone calls to her kids and to Gus. The SWAT team then throws a tear gas grenade into the office, prompting Mallet to ask Harley to run away with him. Meanwhile, Gus has kidnapped Emma in a desperate bid to get Olivia back to Springfield. When she realizes Emma is gone, Olivia panics and blames Bill for conspiring with Gus to blackmail her into confessing. When Gus calls her to demand she come back to Springfield, she hears Alan on the phone and realizes what she has to do to get her daughter back. Later, when Gus gets to the Spaulding mansion, he gets a shock, seeing the prison siege on TV. Realizing Harley’s in danger, he turns to rush out when Olivia arrives, holding a gun. Reva catches Tammy flirting with a much older man at the outskirts bar and confronts her. Embarrassed Tammy admits she engages in a little role-playing as a way of getting control over her life. Understanding Reva admits that she is also trying to mix things up for herself and tells Tammy about her new job at the bar. Later, Reva finds herself covered with beer and on the ground when she tries to change the tap. Nate comes to her rescue but ends up falling as well, right on top of her. Meanwhile, Sandy questions Jonathan about the way he came to Billy’s aid and scared away the hit man who was demanding money. Sandy’s suspicious but intrigued when Jonathan acts as though he really does value his new place in the Lewis family. Later, Jonathan gets another threatening reminder to stay the course.
